I am a full time employee at Pet Helpers on James Island 8am-5pm Wednesdays-Sundays each week. Being at an animal shelter, the time I get off can vary from 5pm-6pm depending on how busy we are. That means I can be gone for at most 10 hours on my work days. During the day, I have a one hour break 11am-12pm and I am happy to do a drop-by visit during that time to check in on your fur babies! I just want to be transparent about my work schedule with owners so that they have realistic expectations on care.

I unfortunately cannot board pets at my home due to my apartments policy. We have a max of three animals in a unit and we are at that number. I always make sure to respect another's home and make sure to not disturb a place where the pet feels most safe. My main focus is the animal, making sure they get the best care in their home. With dogs, I love taking them on car rides (if they are a fan of them) and treating them to a day in the sun! Adding in a few pup cups here and there!

I would like to know about your fur babies personality, what he/she likes, any special quirks or needs they have and what their ideal day might look like. I'd also need to know about any medical attention they might need or if there is any dietary restrictions.
A typical day
I love to go to local parks and take walks while listening to some good podcasts! My friends and I love hiking and long car rides, which is perfect for a puppy! Depending on the dogs personality, going to some communal dog parks would make my heart, and hopefully pups', so happy!

I've grown up surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. In high school and part of college, I was employed in several different animal shelters taking care of both dogs and cats of all different personalities. I've had customers, professors, and family friends employ me to watch over their furry friends and I've enjoyed every minute of it! I look forward to meeting more fur babies and to give them a little extra love!
