My experience with animals includes volunteering at animal shelters, where I spent time caring for and helping socialize dogs with different personalities and needs. I also have hands-on experience training my own dog, who I adopted when he was 6 years old and had no prior training. With patience and consistency, I taught him basic commands, waiting commands, obstacle-course skills, and how to work through food aggression. As he got older, he became deaf and later blind, so I learned how to adjust the way I communicated with him and cared for him based on his changing needs. That experience taught me a lot about patience, trust, routine, and understanding each animal as an individual. I’m comfortable working with pets who may need extra time, structure, reassurance, or gentle handling.
