Pet care experience

I work with all animals.

Are you looking for someone who cares for your home and pets like its their own? Look no further. I am trustworthy enough for you to put in cameras in common areas if you like. You might capture some funny moments. Haha. Even the most scared and shy pets warm up to me and end up becoming good friends with me. I have many years experience working with a variety of animals both exotic, livestock, poultry, domestic companion animals. I am able to administer medications, assist with grooming, clipping or grinding of claws, exercise and play therapy as well as training. I used to run a rescue out of my home in Texas and was able to vet all the animals in my home so they could be good around other animals and have a higher chance of adoption. I worked in a vets office for some time as well as being a pet parent for many years and have an associates degree in Biology.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I live locally and can stop by many times to check in to ease a worried pet parent's mind. I keep an open schedule and most holidays I don't travel so I am available to help be around your pet while you are away. My child is old enough to stay with our pet too so even if it is multiple days its ok. I am capable of handling any emergency situation. I know pet CPR and how to find the closest emergency vet. I am able to clean up after your pet and do light housework if the service is needed as well as take in mail or shipments, water your plants and take out garbage cans etc if they are necessary. I am able to do grooming, administer medications, take them to appointments, pick up and drop off, take them for walks or do training play. I request that each pet parent provide their own grooming tools, food and toys if appropriate for the visit. Each pet is different and some can have allergies (skin & food) so its best if I am provided with what is known to work well for them.

House Sitting • Jul 21, 2026

Angie is phenomenal!! Can't even count the number of ways she goes above and beyond while housesitting for my 3 dogs. One of my dogs is very stand-offish and shy, but Angie has managed to charm him to the point that I doubt he even misses me when I am gone. I am grateful for the peace of mind I have knowing my dogs are so well cared for in my absence. Angie is definitely my first choice when I go out of town!!!

House Sitting • Jul 12, 2026

Overall, Angie was kind to our dogs, but based on our experience I would not recommend her for house sitting. Before our trip, she confirmed she would arrive shortly after we left for the airport. However, by 3:00 p.m. she still had not arrived, and I had to contact her while traveling to confirm she was still coming because one of our dogs required medication at 4:00 p.m. She explained she was ill, which I understand, but I was disappointed that she did not communicate the delay herself. Throughout the stay, there were several instances where our instructions were not followed. We repeatedly had to remotely lock a door that was left unlocked. One of our dogs became sick after being given human food, which we had never authorized, and we were not informed about the incident until we reached out. Despite saying she would stop, she continued giving them human food. She also gave dental sticks throughout the day instead of following our written instructions to give one after the dogs' final potty break each night. We also observed her vaping inside our home. After I asked her to vape outside, I cannot say with certainty that it continued, but there were strong indications that it did. Lights were frequently left on throughout the house, and on the second-to-last day she was gone from approximately 3:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., delaying both our dogs' dinner and one dog's scheduled medication by over two hours. While she did clean up after our dog became sick and washed the water fountain before we returned, there were also concerns about using air fresheners throughout the home and leaving lights and the bathroom exhaust fan on when she left. Our dogs have a veterinarian-recommended medication schedule, so consistency and communication were especially important. Although Angie was affectionate with our dogs, the repeated issues with communication, following instructions, and respecting our home mean I would not book her again.

Schedule

I do this full time so with the exception of my normal parental duties for my own cat and human child, I have plenty of hours to schedule or work around anything that might need to be done for your pets while you are gone. In addition to taking care of your home I offer rides to and from the local park and ride, airport or greyhound bus station if you want to keep your car at home for an additional small fee. I water plants, bring in mail and packages, take out trash, and do house cleaning. 💜

I think its super important to know what they eat and in what quantities and when. Any changes in their diet can compound stress from changes in their environment and they can get an upset stomach. Also I always want to know what your pets favorite things in the house are...where do they like to sleep or hide or chew on their bone? Which blanket or ball is their favorite? Do they have a place they love to be pet the most? Or the least? ?? Its all important to me.
