Understanding their walking speed and energy level is also beneficial, as are any particular triggers, habits, or concerns (such as loud noises or particular items). It's also critical to find out whether they require medicine, have any recent injuries, or have any medical conditions. Inquire about their behavior on the leash as well, such as whether they pull, attempt to chase, or are taught to heel. Finally, it's critical to understand how they respond to commands, if they are permitted rewards, and how they manage toilet breaks.

Giving pets plenty of time to smell around and explore is a terrific way to keep them mentally occupied, so I make the experience enjoyable and interesting when I walk them.
