A typical day
Each day is tailored to your pet’s needs, energy level, and personality — whether that means long walks, gentle play, or quiet companionship. For dogs, I usually start the day with a good walk (anywhere from 20 to 90 minutes depending on age and fitness), followed by breakfast and some time to relax. We might play in the garden, practice basic training cues, or enjoy a cuddle session. If your dog enjoys nature, I can include off-lead walks in safe, local areas. For other pets — cats, rabbits, reptiles, and more — I focus on keeping their routine consistent. That includes feeding, cleaning up, and offering enrichment like toys, playtime, or gentle handling (if they enjoy it). I also love spending quiet time just sitting nearby so they feel calm and secure. Whatever the day looks like, your pet will have my full attention, plenty of love, and a calm, engaging environment to feel safe and happy

Hi, I’m Ange 👋🐾 — a lifelong animal lover, DBS checked, with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. I now offer dog day care and pet services from Sutton on Trent, a lovely rural village surrounded by countryside, quiet lanes, and peaceful walking routes 🌿🐕. It’s a calm, home-from-home environment, ideal for dogs who enjoy companionship, fresh air, and gentle structure throughout the day. Originally from South Africa, I spent many years rescuing and caring for animals including injured Rottweilers, pot-bellied pigs, leopard geckos, kittens, rabbits, hedgehogs, birds, fish, and snakes 🐶🐷🦎🐰🐍. When I moved to the UK, I brought my German Shepherd, Jax, with me. Together, we completed obedience and protection training, giving me valuable experience handling large breeds and understanding canine behaviour. I’m confident caring for dogs with reactive behaviours, allergies, specialised diets including raw feeding, senior needs, and medication routines 💛.
