I have more than 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including senior pets, special-needs animals, and medically complex pets. Most recently, I worked at a no-kill animal shelter in Southern California, where I worked with animals of different ages, personalities, and energy levels. I gained experience with recently surrendered pets, shy animals, senior pets, and animals adjusting to new environments. I also cared for my own diabetic dog, Tater, for three years, including twice-daily insulin injections and careful monitoring of his health and routine. That experience taught me how important consistency, observation, and patience are when caring for animals. I am comfortable administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and maintaining established routines. I work especially well with senior pets, anxious animals, and pets that need a calm, patient approach.
