I have regularly fostered dogs for the past five years and have worked with over 75 dogs and counting. I have so loved this experience meeting new friends of all breeds, needs, shapes and sizes and would love to meet your pup as well! I have even had the experience and privilege of taking puppies numerous times to the nursing home to meet with residents there, bringing with them their puppy joy and cheer. Angela and Rick have been fostering dogs for many years with the APA. They have experience with several different dog breeds and are familiar with working with dogs of all ages. I would def trust them with watching our rescue pup Juno. They are both pet lovers and will ensure your dog receives the attention it deserves.
Angela and Rick have been involved for several years in serving as temporary foster parents for many puppies and dogs in conjunction with programs operated by both the Humane Society of Missouri and Stray Rescue of St. Louis. They have been generous with their time in ensuring that the puppies and dogs have been provided with a safe environment and loving care. They have involved their two children in this effort as a means of teaching them how to properly care for pets. Their array of family pets has now grown to include a cat, pond fish, tank turtles, and chickens. They have both served as wonderful role models of the importance of providing care for others.
Rick and Angela have to be two of the kindest people I've met. They have been exceptional foster parents for the shelter I work for! They are both very in tune with the animals' needs, any medical issues and any behavioral issues. I would definitely trust them to watch over my own pets!
I have worked for an animal shelter for 25 years managing our foster program. Angela and Rick have been foster parents for us since 2022. They have fostered many puppies for us. When the foster time is over and the puppies are returned, they are always in great health and well socialized. I highly recommend them to take care of your pets.

Schedule
Our family follows the school schedule during the week day, leaving at 8:15 and arriving home around 3:30pm. If needed, I can allow for one bathroom break mid day.

Safety, trust & environment
There is a room officially dedicated in our house to the animals that I watch and foster. They would have this room all to themselves for when they come stay (no need to share with other pets!). There are pee pads and litter boxes also available if needed. Please see pictures of the room located under the sitter profile. I also have a crate available and an x pen if your furry friend prefers that. I have a fenced in front and back yard that has been visited and approved by the Humane Society.

A typical day
I spend A LOT of time outdoors playing with the kids and going for walks if your furry friend enjoys that, and there is no shortage of attention once everyone comes home from school! I have a cat and a dog for company when they like it, or I can keep them in their separate rooms if your furry friend would rather have some alone time.
