Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine because caring for animals is what I do full-time. My schedule is built around feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication needs, and making sure every pet gets individual attention and care. I plan my days carefully so pets are never rushed and always have time for companionship, comfort, and consistency while their owners are away.

In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment where pets are treated like part of the family. I only take pets from one family at a time so they get personalized attention and a less stressful experience than a busy kennel environment. Pets have plenty of time for play, cuddles, supervised outdoor breaks, and relaxing in a cozy home setting. I try to keep their normal routines as consistent as possible to help them feel safe and comfortable. In clients’ homes, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment while maintaining their regular routine. I provide feeding, fresh water, walks or potty breaks, litter box cleaning, playtime, medication administration if needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also send photo updates so owners can feel connected and reassured while they’re away.

Before caring for a pet, it’s very important for me to know about their routine, personality, energy level, medical needs, allergies, fears, triggers, feeding schedule, potty habits, and how they interact with people or other animals. I also like to know what comforts them when they’re anxious, their favorite activities or toys, and any house rules owners would like followed. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away.
A typical day
I love making sure pets stay happy, active, and mentally engaged while they’re with me. Depending on each pet’s personality and energy level, activities may include walks around the neighborhood, playtime with toys, fetch, cuddle time on the couch, enrichment activities, outdoor time, and lots of one-on-one attention. For cats, I enjoy interactive play, brushing if they enjoy it, and creating a calm, relaxing environment where they feel safe and comfortable. I always tailor activities to each pet’s age, comfort level, and routine.
