We have over ten years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages. Since opening, Pawpaw Homestay has never had a single fight or escape incident — your pet’s safety is always our top priority. We provide a calm, home-like environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. To ensure comfort and safety, Pawpaw currently accepts only small and medium-sized dogs, with separate areas for each to support relaxed play, rest, and individualized care.

Schedule
We have people in the house 24hrs and I work from home so I will be taking care of the pets for most of the time. Dogs staying in our home are treated like family. They are never kenneled or crated unless an owner specifically requests it. If a crate is needed, owners are welcome to bring their own so their dog can feel comfortable in a familiar space. Dogs are allowed on furniture and beds, and I genuinely enjoy sleeping alongside them, as it helps many dogs feel safe, calm, and at home.

Safety, trust & environment
Our home is thoughtfully designed for pet boarding, with safety and potential incidents carefully considered. The entryway is secured with gates to prevent door escapes, and indoor areas are separated with gates for safe, size-based care. Our fully fenced backyard is surrounded by neighboring homes, minimizing the risk of coyotes, and has no grass to help reduce fleas and other pests. Dogs are welcome on sofas, with dog stairs provided, and all furniture is protected with waterproof, washable covers for easy cleaning if accidents occur.
Pets
A typical day
Pets in our care enjoy a balanced mix of exercise, play, and relaxation. We provide two longer walks daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. Throughout the day, dogs are always welcome to go out to the backyard for additional potty breaks or fresh air as needed. In the afternoons, when the weather is comfortable, we enjoy playing fetch and interactive games in the yard. I provide a variety of toys, and you’re always welcome to bring your pet’s favorite toys from home as well. In the evenings, we wind down together — We are a big fan of relaxing with TV before bedtime, and dogs are welcome to cuddle on the sofa and enjoy calm, cozy time, just like at home.
