Pet care experience

Retired & 100% attention to dogs

I am a dog lover by nature and I grew up with Labradors. I had previously lived with and took care of my GR while she battled with cancer for her last 4 months journey. Unfortunately, she crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 12. I also help take care of my friend's dogs from time to time when she needs to swing by the office or on vacation.

Andy took great care of Maeva! She had a wonderful time there with Milo and another standard doodle. Really recommend Andy, especially if you have a medium/large size dog

Andy was amazing. This was the first time we’d left our dog with a rover and we could tell he had a good time. We will definitely be repeat clients!

Andy took great care of Pepper and sent lots of pictures and videos of her time with him. I was especially grateful because Pepper had a bit of a limp when we dropped her off and required medication. Andy was very accommodating.

Schedule

I retired so dog caring/sitting has become my full time job. That's being said your dogs will be getting a 100% attention with an extraordinary care from me. So, you can sit back, relax and enjoy your trip as you know your pets will be in my good hands and are being taking care of while you are on vacation. I only accept 1 dog at a time but if you have 2 dogs in your family then it is OK for me to take care of both together. My goal is to make your dogs feel like they are in their own home while on boarding at my place.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

My dog and I live in a single house and my front and back yard are completely fenced so your dogs can run freely out there. I will keep a pretty close eye on your dog throughout the day and will update you regularly. If you are having your dog boarded at my place, your dog will be receiving at least two walks per day and each walk will be at least 1 hour (Mon-Sun). If I go on a hike / trail / beach, it will be at least 4 hrs. I will not take your dog to the dog park where diseases can be easily transmitted. During your dog's stay, I will be providing homemade healthy treats (dehydrated beef/chicken/fish), fresh water, food/water bowls, potty bags, and grooming wipes. Of course, you can bring in your dog's favorite treats if he/she is a picky eater.

Spayed and neutered dogs only

Andy can host up to 3 pets per night
I kindly request that an up-to-date record of your dog's vaccinations. All dogs are required to be either spayed or neutered prior to their visit. Your dogs should stay on their same diet while staying with me. Switching their food is not a good idea as it would upset their stomach. Unfortunately, I am unable to accommodate dogs that are working on aggression issues. Please be transparent about any special needs or behaviors that your dogs are having. Things to bring in for dog boarding: leash/harness, your dog's bed / toy/blanket (Crate is provided),and anything that would make your dog feel comfortable like living in his own home. Last but not least, please let me know if you are working on anything with your dog such as jumping on people/staying off the furniture. I will be more than happy to reinforce those things during their stay.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
