I do some work for an events company, but this is on a very flexible basis where I can choose which jobs I do. This allows me to take on long pet sitting jobs and not have other commitments impacting my availability.

I am unable to currently offer boarding, but can pet sit at your house. I am happy to take dogs for a daily longer walk if required, or 2 shorter walks if preferred. I will always keep dogs on their leads for the duration of the walk to ensure their safety.

A typical day
* For bookings of around 24 hours I will typically send 3 or 4 updates * For long bookings I will usually send 1 daily update, letting you know about their eating, walks etc * I will take your dog for 1-2 walks per day- let me know the length of walk you prefer, and any parks or other areas that your dog likes to go to * I can track walks on my Garmin and send you a screenshot of our walks, so you can see that your dog is getting regular exercise * I will always send photos, so that you can see your pets are happy and relaxed * I make my own notes at the meet and greet, but written instructions with any relevant information you can think of are always appreciated!

Conscientious Canine(and cat!) Care
Pet care experience
I have lots of experience of looking after dogs for friends, family and Rover clients. I have cared for many different breeds, ranging from Alaskan Malamutes and German Shepherds, to Labradors and Rhodesian Ridgebacks! As well as dog sitting through Rover, I also have experience of volunteering at a local dog shelter. I like the variety of looking after different dog breeds, and they all have their unique characters and personalities. I have experience of looking after elderly dogs, as well as dogs with separation anxiety, reactive dogs and dogs who pull a lot on the lead during walks. I do look after cats as well as long as they are indoor cats, but unfortunately the market for cat-sitting isn't nearly as big! I'm always open to more cat-sitting requests though. Some other animals I have looked after via Rover include guinea pigs, chickens and a bearded dragon! I'm happy to take on long pet-sitting jobs- I have completed several 1 week and 2 week jobs so far. I have always liked animals, and I have experience of owning and caring for many small pets- these include rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs and fish. I am someone who is very conscientious, and always likes to do a thorough job. When I meet dog owners I will always make written notes of all their requirements(feeding schedule, walk times/lengths, sleeping routine etc) and make sure they are followed daily. I am mature and responsible, and as well as being a great dog-sitter I like to think I make a good house sitter too! I will keep the place tidy, take in deliveries, be sensible with energy usage, wash the dishes, water your plants, put the bins out, and collect your post(as well as making sure it's kept safely out of reach from your pets!)

Having never had to use a sitter before I was a little nervous of the whole process. There was no need to worry. Andy was absolutely fantastic, I cannot praise him enough. He was professional throughout, punctual, attentive, absolutely wonderful with our dog who suffered quite badly with separation anxiety. We had daily updates and photos which were appreciated . Andy, I can’t thank you enough for the care and attention that you showed our dog which at times must have been challenging. Honestly thank you so much. I would be happy to recommend Andy to anyone.
