Safety, trust & environment

I only board for one family at a time. I only feed your pet what you provide or what you approve of during their stay. My backyard is fenced-in with a tall privacy fence. I have room for a crate in my kitchen if your dog requires one, or I can confine them to the kitchen with a baby gate if that's a better fit. Otherwise, if you think they'll do well with more room, I'm happy to let them roam downstairs while I'm away. With my experience as a father and a sitter, I know how to handle emergencies.

Information Andrew P. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know if your pet has any allergies or has had any bad reactions to anything they've eaten in the past. Please let me know how much experience they've had away from your family. Also, I'd like to know what they're used to at night when you go to sleep. Do they sleep in separate rooms, in the same room, or do they sleep in your bed?

A typical day

I love to be outside. I need it more than your dog, lol. But I like to go on a short walk in the morning, take a break at lunch, and in the afternoon/evening go on a longer walk. I like to have someone to take care of and so having a dog around the house is wonderful. I like to go out into the backyard to play fetch or let them have zoomies. If they know different commands, I love to let them earn their treats that way :)

Pet care experience

I've absolutely loved the experience that I've had boarding dogs through Rover over the past two years. I share custody of my three children that live with me part-time, and when it's worked out for a pet to stay with us here, it has been an amazing experience. It's helped my children learn about animals, responsibility, and how to care for others. When the children are not here, having a pet has been a blessing. It gives me someone to care for and to spend time with when I'm not working. I work full-time, but my current position has very flexible hours, and is only about 10 minutes away from my home. I like to come home for lunch and a walk. Dogs love my fenced-in back yard! It offers privacy so if your dog doesn't need to interact with others it's a perfect fit. Most dogs love sniffing around, chasing the occasional squirrel or bird, or chasing a ball and getting some fun zoomies. My neighborhood has poop stations around the neighborhood, a wooded path next to a creek, and my neighbors are very respectful to other pets. They're used to me walking around with different dogs and if we need to keep distance, it's not a problem. Otherwise, we have a lot of very friendly dogs in the neighborhood to meet, if that sounds fun. Over the years with Rover, I've had many different types of dogs stay with my family. Big, small, young and old. The most important thing is to make sure your pet is a good fit for my home. I want them to enjoy their time while they're away from their family. I've had plenty of experience in my life caring for others, so I know you'll be able to rest easy. <3

Andrew was great at communicating throughout the process. He asked all the right questions in the beginning. He took care of my dog for a full week. His kids were very respectful and responsible with my 5 year old English cocker. She was tired, in a good way when I got her back. I would definitely recommend Andrew to a friend.

Andrew is a fantastic pet sitter! I highly recommend him for your pet boarding needs. Andrew took such good care of my dog, Holly, she immediately took to him and I'm pretty sure she's in love with him LOL. You can tell Andrew really loves dogs, he sent me numerous photos and videos of them on walks and playing in the backyard. His neighborhood is really nice and quiet and I know she enjoyed all the walks they took. I have already booked Andrew to board Holly during my next work trip and hope to have him board Holly on an ongoing basis.

as always, Andrew has been amazing. This time he got to watch our other dog since the one that used to stay with him when we travel has since passed. I loved all the updates (both pictures and videos) and loved how he took to her routine quickly. We're so happy we lucked out in finding a sitter who is kind and caring for our 4-legged babies.
