I have extensive experience with dogs, whether it be from the daily love and care for my own, pet-sitting for a friend, or working with foster dogs. I have spent many years working at in doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming environments, several years in which I was the manager. I am comfortable cleaning up messes, prepping special diets for those in need, and bathing dogs of all sizes and coat types. If needed, I can administer oral, topical, ear, and eye medications. All dogs deserve love and comfort, including seniors, puppies, and disabled pups, and I am more than willing to accommodate for their special needs. I am an expert at tiring out high-energy dogs with mental stimulation and play, allowing you to relax after a long day with a calmer canine friend at your side. After caring for several foster dogs, I'm knowledgable of positive-reinforcement training methods, especially those related to leash training. From working in daycare and boarding facilities I've cared for dogs of all temperaments, including those are aggressive in some situations (e.g., on a leash, food aggression). Additionally, I understand considerations that must be made for dogs based on size and age such as preventing and recognizing the signs of bloat in large breeds. I hold my standards of care to the same detail and love that I do for my own animals--considering everything from the heat of the sidewalk, cleanliness of their dinner and water bowls, and their need to sniff and explore.
