Experienced with dogs of all sizes!
I’m experienced in handling large dogs (any size/breed welcome) and have a deep understanding of the needs and quirks of anxious and reactive dogs and the care and patience they require through my experience with my extremely nervous rescue German Shepherd who was in very bad mental and physical condition when I adopted him. Sadly, he passed at the end of 2024 after many happy years together. Personally, I found it extremely difficult to trust others to walk or care for him during our time together so I’d like to reassure those in a similar position that I can take care of their best friend when they need it and I’ll always be as careful, understanding and vigilant as I was with my own. My garden is secure with full, well-maintained fences and walls and a padlocked gate, I have blinds on all public facing windows which can be closed if dogs are triggered by people walking by. Everyone is welcome to supply any toys, beds or anything that makes your dog feel more comfortable and of course I will stick to their usual walking schedule and dietary requirements. I live directly next to a large park which is not typically very busy and offers numerous trails from the main paths to avoid others when caring for reactive dogs. I will never let anyone’s dog off the lead during a walk (unless I have booked a secure field) and always clip leads to a strong walking belt as extra security, walk in shaded areas on hot days and carry water at all times.

Andrew was great, he looked after our dogs in our home for a week. The dogs really took to him quickly and enjoyed having him around. One of dogs took poorly and needed veterinary attention quickly. Andrew ensured this happened and kept us up to date with his progress in the days that followed which was really reassuring. We would definitely recommend Andrew to anyone wanting their dogs cared for in their own home.
Excellent service. Andrew and his partner did an amazing job with my 2 dogs - I don’t think they wanted to come home! Lots of updates, pictures and long walks. Will definitely be booking Andrew again.

Having been let down by another sitter we found Andrew what impressed me was the personal write up on his profile, due to the fact we have 2 rescue dogs we thought Andrew’s previous experience would be perfect and this turned out to be correct Dexter & Holly have just returned after a one night trial and all has gone well, before booking this we went through with the dogs to see if we could introduce them and see how it went Due to Andrew’s perfect calm nature the dogs settled to our amazement really well and Holly fell in love with Andrew The overnight stay has gone well even though the dogs seemed more anxious when dropping off Dexter who we thought may be an issue settled straight away but through patients and staying away Holly settled after 2 hours I would highly recommend Andrew but reluctant as I don’t want him to become too busy so we can’t get back booked in 😂 It has been a pleasure dealing with Andrew and his lovely partner Sian we feel blessed to have found such a lovely caring perfect dog sitter and now booking up for our dogs when we go on Holiday Regards Colin & Nicky
Andrew (and Sian) took lovely care of my two border collies. My dogs can be quite reactive but Andrew reassured me with his experience of dogs with quirks! They came home nicely tired and calm and they'll be back to see Andrew soon ☺️
So glad I found Andrew. Was the first time using Rover and first time leaving Jasper with anyone other than family so I was more than a little nervous. Andrew sent me updates and photos to put my mind at rest. Jasper settled in straight away and will definitely be booking again.

Programa
I mainly work from home so when boarding and pet sitting your dog will be with me all day with regular opportunities to play, go in the garden and for walks in the morning, lunch time and evening. I’m available for walks morning, lunchtime and evenings during the week and all day Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

I only care for dogs from the same household on walks and in my home unless they are friends who have already spent time together. This is for the best possible wellbeing of each dog. I’d rather provide quality and complete confidence than take on as many dogs as possible as I believe in giving them the individual care and attention they deserve with as few stressful triggers as possible. I work from home so dogs will not be left unattended or outside for prolonged periods. I only endorse the use of positive reinforcement / reward-based training and treat all dogs with respect, understanding and care tailored to their specific needs. I’m happy to discuss your requirements, answer any questions and arrange a pre-stay meet and greet if required. I have also completed a certified DBS check through my employer. We do not have any children or pets of our own in our home.
Un día normal
I can tailor this depending on your dogs routine and training but typically I like to play games to stimulate them mentally (if they feel comfortable to do so, take them for walks around the park and fields allowing them the time to have a good sniff around (It’s their walk afterall!) I’m happy to jog or run with them too if this is what they enjoy. I’ll tailor for older dogs too who may not want to walk so far and make sure all dogs have a nice comfy quiet place for a nap.
