My wife, Shannon, works from home, so your pet would have supervision all day long. She is incredibly sweet and gentle, even more than me. We have 2 cats. They tolerate our dog at best and prefer to excuse themselves from the room if things get too rambunctious. Some background about me: Growing up, my mom groomed dogs and cats out of the house. I've seen every temperament and learned pets are just toddlers with more hair. I've personally groomed hundreds of dogs and cats. I've dealt with them at their most stressed: getting a bath, clippers vibrating against them, and their nails being clipped, with other dogs barking like crazy in the background. I have learned that positive reinforcement works best. We have a labrador retriever named Dog. He is a friendly male who likes to play fetch and tug-a-war. He is happy to share his toys with your pup.

Schedule
I work most week days from 8-5, but my wife works from home. Weekends include extra walks and fetch, hikes, or the beach. I will include your dog if you wish.

Safety, trust & environment
I own a home in Norfolk with a yard. It's fenced on 3 sides, but the back lets out to a creek and there is no fence on that side. We do have a 50 foot leash that can be used if your dog prefers to zoomy around for a bit. There is enough room to run and play. I pick up poop in the yard daily. Dogs stay indoors at night and when I am not home. I have a large crate your pet can sleep in if you think that would be best. I also have spare rooms if they just want space for some alone time. It’s Dog’s world, we’re just living in it: We play a LOT. The house is filled with toys. Pets get lots of love, but my top priority is always the safety of the pets.

We like to play fetch or do tricks with the dogs we have. If they like to play, our dog will enjoy playing with them. Our dog loves to run, tug of war or just sniff.
