My family did not have dogs growing up but I always loved going to my friend's houses who did. When I turned 26, I decided to get myself something I was deprived of as a child - a puppy boxer! It doesn't sound crazy on the surface, but my (now) wife at the time had a 1-year old Frenchie and was looking to get him a brother. I soon went from never having owned a dog to raising a puppy three consecutive years. While my baby girl (Miss P) unexpectedly crossed over the rainbow bridge two years ago, I wouldn't change those crazy days for anything. Fast forward 10 years and between the 3 dogs, there isn't much I haven't seen. Frank (the senior) has special dietary requirements that require special meals and the occasional diaper. Miss P (rest her soul) was not friendly upfront with strangers or other dogs, so I learned to navigate that quickly on our daily 4-mile downtown walks. She was also an absolute NO-GO with other dogs, which the parents of social dogs seem to never understand. I can't forget about our high energy Boston terrier who is always trying to get into mischief - he's taught us how to create an environment he is set up for success in and I can adapt to whatever that looks like for your pup, as well. My wife and I both work fully remote and my job doesn't require travel, so I am flexible in my scheduling to your needs (my better half is thrilled to assist when needed and as available, as well).
