Hello! I’m Andrew. I offer thoughtful, reliable pet care including dog walks, drop-in visits, and housesitting in Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas. My schedule is currently very flexible. I’ve spent my entire life caring for animals and genuinely enjoy their company. Animals tend to feel comfortable with me right away. Friends often joke that I’m a magnet for their pets because I take the time to move at their pace and build trust through calm, attentive presence. My connection to animals comes from growing up on a farm with dogs, chickens, birds, a cattery, and horses, many of which were rehabilitated rescue animals. I have experience caring for puppies and kittens, senior pets, and animals with special needs, including those who are blind, deaf, or recovering from injuries. I love being outdoors and specialize in relaxed, attentive walks and enrichment tailored to each pet’s individual energy level and needs. West Cliff, Lighthouse Field, and beach walks are favorite spots for fresh air, exploration, and play. I’m also known for giving excellent pets, scritches, and gentle massages that help animals relax and feel grounded. I hold a Wilderness First Responder certification and have close ties to the veterinary field, so I’m calm, prepared, and attentive if anything unexpected comes up.
