Ruff&Rollers and HipHop Hounds LLC

Currently transitioning from Celtic Caretaking brand to Ruff & Rollers and HipHop Hounds LLC; new rebranded details, facebook page and website coming soon: Celtic Caretaking was formed on the combination of one person’s two greatest passions: Irish culture and a love of dogs aka cu in the Emerald Isle’s native language. The former provided the brand, the second provided the focus on excellent service for you and your pups. In ancient irish legends, heroes and heroines put themselves or were sometimes put under geasa—steadfastly held obligations or codes of conduct—that they strove mightily to not break and always abide by. Like them, Celtic Caretaking is under solemn oath to care for your pets and property to the best of my ability for an affordable price. With Celtic Caretaking, you can rest, assured that your animals of all sizes, shapes, breeds and species, from such as the great Irish wolfhounds, so big they were once used to fight lions and bears, to ones like the petite Irish terrier, so small they hunted vermin, will be treated with the same reverence and care as the Celts did. Celtic Caretaking’s slogan is “We treat your Cu like you do.” With its core lucky clover leaf's of “C”s, it’s underlying philosophy is an emphasis on Consistence, Compassion, Competence and Courtesy. The man behind the service, Andrew G, has a lifelong love of animals. Decades of experience as a dog owner as well as independent research have gifted him with a deep understanding of how their minds work and how and what their body language communicates. He has taken the first three vet tech courses from Harford Community College, is certified in Animal First Aid and CPR and Massage Therapy for Animals and is currently enrolled in the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training. The services Celtic Caretaking offers range from walks by the distance or by the time(I average a mile in 20 minutes depending on dog’s ability), drop in visits with or without potty walks, pet-sitting, both by check-in and overnight stays. In addition to the services offered through Rover, I also offer "animal taxi" services at $18 per half-hour of driving plus additional $.99 per mile past 10 miles and basic command training, using the Victoria Stilwell method of positive reinforcement, for 18 per half-hour session through Celtic Caretaking independently insured and bonded LLC. Unfortunately, I do not offer pet boarding at this period in time. I eventually plan to evolve into a full-service animal caretaking company including but not limited to such minor in-home veterinary services as I will be qualified to offer and at-home grooming. I’m a firm believer in the cliche “a worker is only as good as the tools they use.” Because of this, I have my own comprehensive set of tools for the job, including clickers and treats, whether allergen free, low-calorie green beans, or standard for training, leash with attached waterbowl, poo-bags, water and treat holding bottle, harnesses in three different sizes and a light-up collar for both late-night walkings and sittings. My responsibilities to other client’s permitting, I can be at your home in less than an hour from the time I’m requested and have finished up my pre-existing commitments. Additionally, as both an incentive and gesture of gratitude, Celtic Caretaking offers two VIP-style perks programs to it's recurring clients: The Red Branch Rovers: Every client that books 2-4 walks weekly receives one free walk a month, the option for free delivery from local dog baker The Dog Chef upon arrangement with Andrew, and a free seasonal treat from The Dog Chef at Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and Independence Day as well as occasional other perks and contests tbd. The Furry Fianna: Every client that books 5 or more walks weekly receives one free walk per week, the option for free delivery from local dog baker The Dog Chef upon arrangement with Andrew, and a free seasonal treat from The Dog Chef at Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and Independence Day as well as occasional other perks and contests tbd. To better service my customers, Celtic Caretaking also has a facebook page featuring an alternative way of getting in touch, regular posts and information about all matters dog-related, upcoming contests with prizes for customers, customer reviews and pictures of dogs we've taken care of and is independently insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates. Thank you for considering me for taking care of your furry friends. I'm a full time pet caretaker, so you never have to worry about this being just a side gig for me. Additionally, I accept bookings only in such a way that any pets I sit are never left unaccompanied for more than 4 hours at a time. I treat your pets as if they were my own. When in your home, I adopt a philosophy of "you can't mess up what you never use" and strive to leave as zero a footprint in your home as possible.

Safety, trust & environment

While in your home, my general rule of thumb is "if you don't use it, you can't ruin it." Because of this guideline, I leave as zero a foot print in your home as possible; bringing precooked meals and my own travel linens so that the most I use in your crib is the microwave, the fridge and the couch or bed.

This was our first time using Rover, or any pet sitting service for our newly adopted rescue dog. We had to go out of town to attend a funeral very soon after adopting her. I was very nervous to leave her so soon. But Andrew made it much easier. He came to meet her, and was very professional. He asked questions about her schedule and what he needed to do for her. When I left, I left written instructions for him to keep her on as close of a routine as possible while we were gone. He followed our instructions and communicated with pictures to ease my mind. We came home to a happy and calm dog. I would 100% recommend Andrew if you are in need of a pet sitter. Thanks Andrew!

Sent pictures and left the space in the same condition it was in when I left. We will hire this provider again when we need a sitter if he is available. My dog looked pretty happy.

Schedule

This is not a sidegig for me, this is my chosen career so, when sitting, all free time not spent with the other Ruff & Roll Rebel Rovers or Original Fangstas of the R2H2 gang is spent giving your pup the attention they deserve. Also, with this as my full-time career, you can doubly trust that your pup will be well-taken care of, as, my love of dogs and simple ethics aside, word of mouth is too important to my business' survival and growth to do anything less.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Andrew can host up to 13 drop-ins per day
During meet and greets, in addition to the simple question of whether the dog and I will get along, my "big three" questions are: health issues including food allergies, behavior issues, and training cues to be reinforced.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
