Hi! I'm Andrew and I'm enthusiastic about caring for your beloved pet! I'm passionate about animals and have been responsible for the care of a variety of different kinds of animals for most of my life. I have experience with special needs pets and know safety procedures for avoiding heat stroke, dealing with allergic reactions, and eating toxic things. I can assist with positive reinforcement training while walking or boarding. I have experience with medium and small breeds of dogs and am familiar with reactive dogs, so I know how to safely walk and handle those behaviors. I'm happy to take specific requests for care needs. I am eager to offer my services through Rover and provide a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for your furry friend. I'm committed to ensuring their needs are met with love and attention while you are away. My significant other, Jamie, is a registered nurse and has CPR experience. I am in the process of getting my CPR credentials.

Andrew watched our Australian Shepard for a day and we are sure he did a great job. He sent us pictures throughout the day giving us an update on how our dog was doing! She played in the yard and had a huge toy box with plenty of toys to enjoy. We will be reaching out to Andrew again next time we are in the area and need his services!

Andy was absolutely wonderful with my senior dog, who has a few health issues and can be a bit antisocial at times. He was incredibly patient, kind, and clearly experienced with dogs who need a little extra care and understanding. My pup has pancreatitis and a strict medication and feeding schedule, and Andy followed everything thoroughly—sending daily updates and photos that gave me total peace of mind while I was away. He really respected my dog’s boundaries while still giving him plenty of comfort, which is not an easy balance to strike. I could tell he took the time to learn my dog’s quirks and adjust to his needs, which made all the difference. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again—highly recommend if you are looking for a thoughtful caregiver for your pet! I will definitely be reaching out to Andy to watch my pup again in the future!
I have known Andrew for my entire life and he is the first person I call with questions regarding the well-being of animals. I trust him implicitly because I have witnessed him lovingly devoted to every animal in his care by making sure they are given the time and attention they deserve. He knows that each baby has a different temperament and needs, and Andrew knows how to cater to that. He also knows about animal nutrition and safety for caring for animals with special needs. He has handled young and senior pets, of all shapes and sizes - from small dogs and cats to larger breeds. I find peace of mind when Andrew walks my pup or watches him for a longer stay. Highly recommend.
Andrew took care of my cat. This was when I had to go on a trip up north to Wisconsin and I took my cat over to his home where he took care of her for a week. She was a special needs cat as she was elderly with impaired vision. I was impressed with how well he communicated with me in her daily activities by sending photos of her which gave me the reassurance I needed. I have had Andrew care for numerous times. I highly recommend his services!

Schedule
I currently am not working which provides a flexiblable schedule and means I'll be home most of the time while boarding your pet. I occasionally travel so that can sometimes affect my availability which will be marked as unavailable on my calender.

Safety, trust & environment
I own a home in Florida with a large fenced yard, away from the main streets. I also reside in a home in Wiscosnin during the summer months with a large 1/2 acre land that is not fenced in and is away from main streets. When leash walking, I like to walk dogs on quiet streets/sidewalks with minimal traffic exposure. All dog walks will be 20 mins to 1 hour. I also like to give longer walks in a nearby park. My house in Florida has ceramic flooring with carpeted areas and the Wisconsin home has wooden floors with area rugs. I offer dogs free roam of the home. If you prefer crate with bedding we can discuss the details further.

A typical day
I enjoy engaging with dogs through a variety of activities, including walking, playing fetch, and teaching tricks. I'm comfortable taking dogs to dog parks and I'm always mindful of their age, energy level, and breed-specific needs. I believe in building a bond with the dog and providing personalized care to ensure their happiness and well-being.
