I Will Love Them When You Can't
Ever notice that dog is God spelled backward? Our dogs and cats keep us grounded in all that really matters: kindness, loyalty, joy, and love. And when you can't be there to love them, I will. I have 32 years of experience training, exercising (body and mind), and caring for both my dogs and those of friends and neighbors. My dogs have had very long and healthy lives so I have a great deal of experience at all life stages with a soft spot for our elderly buddies and the very special care they need. A well-trained dog is a happy dog and as part of my time with your dog or cat, I'm always happy to offer my experience to support your goals in that area. My border collie, for instance, learned to put her own toys away. Come to think of it, if my students had learned that particular trick, I might still be a teacher! My love of cats is relatively new as I've had the pleasure of kitty sitting over the last few years for friends who are cat pros. They have taught me a great deal and I am currently living with two wonderful cats. As a freelance writer, my schedule is flexible and when you trust me with your furry friends, their health and happiness will be my priority. Whether I'm on an overnight in your home, dropping in to feed, walk, administer medication, or daily walkies and playtime, you can be assured I will care for your pet as if they were a part of my own family. Well-fed and tired generally results in happy dogs and cats and that will always be my goal. And if it means anything, I'm always the guy who is at the party but no one can find him because he's off somewhere surrounded by the dogs and cats!

Andrew was great with our kitties. Plenty of updates and pictures. Was wonderful to know they were in good hands while we were away. 5 stars all the way!
On top of being super attentive and caring for our dog, Andrew did a great job dealing with adversity that arose while we were on an overseas trip. Our refrigerator promptly quit working and he coordinated with a neighbor to save the contents. On top of that, our dog got sick and he handled all of the unfortunate aspects that go along with that. Fair to say he went above and beyond. He was very communicative, so I always felt like I knew what was going on. And when I returned, the house looked great and our dog was very calm.
I can’t thank Andrew enough for the amazing care he provided for my nincompoops, Vinny and Toby. Communication was excellent, with regular updates and adorable photos that put my mind at ease. He followed all my instructions perfectly, ensuring the goobers felt comfortable and happy. And, they were exhausted when I returned, which means they had plenty of mental stimulation and physical exercise. I know my two pups aren't easy, but Andrew handled them with ease.
We felt so comfortable leaving our dog for a long weekend with Andrew. He gave her a great deal of care and attention. We were incredibly appreciative of his delightful updates while we were away.
I cannot say enough how awesome he is. He is trustworthy, funny, and kind. He has been flexible with us so many times. He loves what he does and it shows. I don't want anyone else watching over things.
Andrew did an excellent job house sitting our dog and cat. It was the first time my husband and I had hired a house sitter and we very much appreciated the work and time he put into putting us at ease. We found him to be trustworthy, honest, very responsive, and kind. I was also grateful to see that he understands both cat and dog behavior (an uncommon characteristic, I've found!) and let our fur babies get used to him in their own time. I hope to book with him again in the future!
