After stepping away from the busyness of my old career, dogs are more a part of my everyday life, so pet care fits naturally into my routine. I spend time daily walking or playing, feeding, and caring for my own dogs, and I structure my schedule so I can give full attention to the pets I look after. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday drop-ins, or evening feedings, I build my days around making sure dogs are comfortable and cared for. I enjoy the consistency and companionship they bring—it’s part of what keeps me grounded and fulfilled.

In my home, safety and comfort come first. We live on 1.5 acres of land where I’ve trained my own dogs to respect boundaries and stay on property, but all guest dogs remain on-leash when outside unless otherwise agreed. I offer multiple housing options depending on the size and personality of your dog—ranging from crates (14in, 28in, or 48in metal) to larger 6x6x10 indoor kennel enclosures in our spacious 1200 sq ft basement. For social dogs, I’m able to introduce them carefully to my own confident and balanced dogs, but if separation is needed, I can easily house them apart. Guest dogs also spend plenty of time with me upstairs so they don’t feel isolated. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely—feeding, walk schedules, and house rules—while providing my own expertise where it benefits the dog. My only request is to use a slip lead leash, as it provides safer, more secure control, especially for larger or energetic breeds. I am comfortable administering medication, following special diets, and working with anxious dogs who need extra playtime or structure to relax. With years of experience handling XL American Bullies, combined with my calm demeanor and strong physical presence (6’4”, 275 lbs), I have yet to meet a dog I can’t handle safely. My goal is always to create a safe, trusting environment where your dog feels secure and cared for like family. During bookings, I personally supervise any minor children in my home to ensure all pets remain safe and comfortable. I understand Rover’s Guarantee applies to sitters and the booked pets, not to other family members.

Informations que ANDREW A. aimerait connaître au sujet de votre animal domestique
It’s helpful for me to know about your dog’s daily routine, energy level, and any special needs. Please let me know if your dog has medication, a specific diet, or behavior quirks like separation anxiety, reactivity, or strong pulling on walks. I’m experienced with large and strong breeds and use slip leads for safe walking control. I can adjust activity levels to fit your dog—whether they need extra playtime to burn energy or a calmer, low-stimulation environment to feel secure.
Une journée type
A typical day for dogs in my care is structured but relaxed. Mornings usually start with potty breaks and a walk on leash around my property. During the day, I rotate between playtime, training reinforcement, or quiet rest depending on each dog’s energy level and personality. Guest dogs may spend time with me in the main living areas, or if they need their own space, I have multiple crate sizes and 6×6×10 indoor kennels in my basement to keep them comfortable and secure. Meals are given on their regular schedule, and I send updates and photos throughout the day so owners know their dog is safe, happy, and cared for.

Reliable Dog Care with Love
Expérience en matière de services dédiés aux animaux de compagnie
What sets me apart is that caring for dogs is more than a side hustle for me—it’s part of who I am. After years as a tax professional, I stepped away to slow down and live with more peace. In my walk with Christ, I’ve learned the value of patience, consistency, and unconditional love—qualities that shine through when I’m caring for dogs. I truly enjoy their company and treat them like family. As a child, my father bred American Akitas, and I've owned and cared for over 25 dogs between myself and my wife. I've been around dogs my whole life. I enjoy their company, whether it’s a quiet cuddle, an energetic walk, or simply sitting with them so they feel safe and cared for. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your pet, so I provide reliable communication, regular updates, and the kind of attention that makes your dog feel at home. Every pup in my care is treated like family, because that’s what they deserve.
Avis
I cannot recommend Andrew enough for dog boarding! We’ve trusted him with our pup on numerous occasions, and every time we’ve been blown away by the level of care and attention he provides. Not only does he go above and beyond (even coordinating pickup with a local boarding facility when space opened up at his), but his setup is truly next level. The property has a large backyard where the dogs can run and play, wash facilities for a puppy spa day, and in-home kennels with raised beds that keep each pup comfortable and secure. We also love that he has an interactive camera system so dogs can be closely monitored, plus a separate fridge/freezer if you prefer to send your own food or medicines. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the health, safety, and happiness of every dog in his care. As an added note, he also responsibly breeds high-quality American XL Bullies, which speaks to his deep knowledge and commitment to the breed. Every time we pick up our pup, she comes home happy, clean, and clearly well cared for. If you’re looking for someone who treats your dog like family, this is absolutely the place to go.
I can’t recommend Andrew enough! He treats dogs with so much loyalty, patience, and care—it’s clear he truly has a gift with animals. My dog Leta always lights up when they see Andrew, and I have complete peace of mind knowing my pup is in such safe, responsible hands. Whether it’s walks, training, or just making sure every detail is taken care of, Andrew goes above and beyond. If you’re looking for someone dependable, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about dogs,Andrew's the perfect choice!
