Hi there! My name is Andrea, AJ for short, and my background includes working as a zookeeper and at a wild animal sanctuary. I've worked and have taken care of all types of animals including dogs, cats, birds, small animals, fish, reptiles, amphibians and many more. I also have veterinary experience. I have a rescue pup at home named Nova. She loves to play with other dogs! With my vast experience in animal care coupled with my passion for animals I know I would be a great fit to take care of your pets when you are unable to do so! I love all animals and always give every animal the best care possible. I truly am an animal care professional and would love to meet your furbabies!

AJ was wonderful! I booked her on short notice and she was communicative, met with my dogs beforehand (they tend to be wary of strangers), and quelled my anxiety regarding leaving my dogs. This was the first time Max and Annabelle had someone other than a family member watch them, and AJ did great. Thank you!
Is there possibly a 10 star rating system? Asking for a friend! All silliness aside, I am afraid I might run out of space with all the amazing comments I'd like to share about Andrea. Dependable, conscientious, prompt, caring, attentive, compassionate, amazing and immediate communication, and just a first-rate professional. These are just the first few descriptors that come to mind after our experience with Andrea pet and house sitting for our family. The pups and kitty loved her and the amazing attention she and her side-kick pup Nova devoted to them. I felt my four legged kids were in excellent hands and had complete confidence my home was secure and protected too. It was so fun to get pictures while we were out of town of everyone having so much fun running around, tails wagging and tongues falling out of their cute faces. They were exhausted and slept all day after we got home. Mission accomplished. We couldn't be happier and would recommend her without any hesitation! Thank you Andrea!
Andrea was an absolutely excellent care provider for my Aussiedoodle for the night. She took him to the beach with her dog to run and play and get good and worn out. She had toys in her apartment for him, and she sent several photos and videos of the action. Chester had a blast - and he is very attached to me. I am very picky about leaving my dog with anyone - and would highly recommend Andrea.
Andrea was so great with my pup. She took her on hikes, to the dog park, beaches, and she had a great time running around with her dog Nova. Andrea sent plenty of pictures and updates letting me know my girl was okay. I’d definitely book her again and highly recommend! You can definitely trust her with your fur babies. Good communication, timely responses. Willing to watch 3 big dogs for most of the day. Capable and calm, would definitely work with Andrea again.

Schedule
I currently do seasonal work where I do wildlife surveys for owls.🦉 I bring my dog with me to work and I take her with me pretty much everywhere I go. During the off-season of my job is when I have the most time for petsitting. Since my seasonal job is only half the year, I dedicate my time to helping others with pet care the other half.

For active dogs I will take them out on an adventure each day. I am a daily hiker and hitting the trail with canine friends is one my favorite past times. I am very attentive to each individual animal and their needs.

A typical day
As I mentioned I always take active dogs out on adventures. Hikes, beach runs/walks, or just fetch in the yard if the dog prefers. Cuddle time afterwards is always a bonus!
