I’ve loved animals all my life, having grown up riding horses and taking care of my childhood cats and family dog. I’ve dog sat for friends, family, and dozens of trusted Rover clients for over 20 years, ranging from young puppies to senior dogs, large breeds and small. I only take one client at a time and find joy in treating your pet like my own!

Piper stayed with Andrea for six days, and we had such a great experience. From our very first interaction, Andrea was responsive, helpful, and flexible. From the meet and greet through drop-off and pick-up, she made the entire process simple and stress-free. Most importantly, Andrea treated Piper like one of her own. She sent thoughtful, detailed updates and lots of photos of their adventures together, and it was clear that Piper was happy, comfortable, and getting plenty of love and attention. I felt completely confident throughout her stay that she was in wonderful hands. I highly recommend Andrea to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter. Andrea was fantastic with our dog Mortie. Mortie is very high energy and needs lots of exercise and Andrea made sure she was fully tuckered out. Andrea also sent lots of pictures and updates about their adventures. Would highly recommend!!

Andrea has always been soooo good with my dog Lucy. Even though they hadn't seen each other in a few months, Lucy was crazy happy to see Andrea again. Andrea is GREAT about communicating with texts and pictures, which I greatly appreciate.

Schedule
I work from home full time and welcome any opportunity to get out of the house for a walk! I am centrally located in NW DC so I have ample places to take your dog on fun, enriching adventures.

Safety, trust & environment
There is plenty of space in my apartment for dog beds and/or a crate. Dogs are welcome on the couch, but not on the bed. I have a rooftop dog park and a flexible schedule, so I can accommodate potty breaks as needed. I love taking photos and will be sure to send you frequent updates!
A typical day
I live close to many parks and green spaces in NW DC, so there are plenty of places to take your dog on fun, enriching adventures. My work from home schedule is flexible so I love to start and end my day with walks. For boarding visits, during the weekdays I will do a short morning walk, longer lunchtime walk, short evening walk and potty breaks as needed. On the weekends I love to explore the city on foot with longer walks. For weekday daycare visits, I will take your dog on a longer walk during lunchtime, and a quicker afternoon/evening potty break. If your pet has specific exercise needs, I can be flexible; please let me know ahead of finalizing the booking so that I can confirm whether or not I can accommodate!

- Let me know how I can best care for your dog! Any walking preferences, training commands you’re working on with them, and/or behaviors I should keep an eye on. As I work from home, it is important that your dog be able to settle without constant attention in between walks and playtime. For boarding stays, I prefer crate-trained dogs so that I know they are safe if I need to leave home for a short while. If your dog requires constant care (ie: cannot be left alone for several hours) I may be able to accommodate based on my schedule for the date(s) requested. Please be aware that this type of stay will be subject to my constant care rate (listed as my puppy rate).
