Safety, trust & environment

Because I exclusively offer care at your location through dog walking and drop-in visits, my absolute priority is maintaining the safety of your pets and the security of your home. I believe clear communication is the foundation of trust. During our initial Meet & Greet, we will go over everything your pet needs to thrive. I will carefully document and follow exactly what we agree upon, ensuring your specific rules and routines are respected down to the smallest detail.

Information Andrea M. would like to know about your pet

How do they react around other dogs, cats, or strangers during walks? Are there specific triggers I should look out for, like bicycles, loud trucks, or high-energy environments? For certain powerful or athletic breeds, it’s vital for me to know their prey drive level around small animals, or if they have a tendency to pull hard when they spot a squirrel. Do they get protective over food, high-value treats, or specific toys? What is their typical endurance level for walks? I want to make sure we don't overdo it, especially during warmer summer months or for senior pets. What is their usual walking setup (e.g., standard collar, front-clip harness, head halti)? Do they have a history of trying to slip out of their collar or harness when startled? Are there any existing medical conditions, joint sensitivities, allergies, or specific dietary restrictions? If they require medication administration, what is their preferred routine for taking it? Are they door-dashers or prone to running off if they spot an open exit? Are pets allowed on the furniture or bed, or do they have specific designated spaces for resting?

A typical day

I love walking so taking care of active dogs to explore the neighborhood to ensure they get the right amount of exercise. Mental workouts are just as important, I play with puzzle toys, practice basic commands or play indoors.

Pet care experience

While my heart is deeply rooted in feline care I possess extensive experience caring for dogs of all sizes. Over the past 10 years, I have proudly looked after my own pets, as well as those of friends and neighbors back home in Spain. Now that I am in Canada, I am thrilled to continue offering this dedicated, intuitive care to your furry family members. When it comes to dogs, I have firsthand experience managing both ends of the size spectrum. I have owned and loved wonderful large breeds, including an American Staffordshire mix, a Dalmatian, and a Spanish Mastiff, which has given me great confidence and capability in handling powerful, large dogs. On the flip side, I am equally comfortable and gentle with small breeds. ✨ What I Provide For Your Pets: - Fully confident walking, handling, and managing large, strong dogs as well as delicate small breeds. - A lifetime of understanding cat behavior, making me a trusted choice for shy, anxious, or highly particular cats. - Reliable Routines: Strict adherence to your feeding schedules, exercise needs, and household rules to keep your pet's environment stress-free. - Daily Updates: Frequent photo updates and clear communication so you never have to wonder how your best friend is doing.

Andrea would be amazing to watch your pets ! She is an animal lover herself, having had many cats and dogs ! Anytime she is around my animals she always takes a keen interest in them and is so loving and caring towards them giving them extra attention ! She is very responsible and a caring individual, I would 100 percent trust her with the care of your pets !

Caring, compassionate, and smart. My dogs love Andrea , but the true test is that even my cats, who don’t love anyone but themselves, are drawn to her. She has taken care of my animals on several occasions and is on-the-ball with them! She takes the stress right out of leaving my fur kiddos with her. It is so nice to have someone so trustworthy who loves my pets like her own and takes care of them. I would not hesitate to have her stay at my place, watch my cats, and walk my dogs for me anytime. 1000% can not recommend highly enough, heck I’d trust her with my newborn daughter too!
