Safety, trust & environment

I specialize in small to medium-sized dogs for in-home boarding due to space, but I’m experienced with large and even giant breeds. I have a decent-sized fenced in yard, but the fence is only 5ft, so please let me know if your dog is a jumper! I’m also happy to work with reactive dogs for drop-ins or sitting. My vibe is calm, gentle, and dependable—whether I’m managing a room full of band students or your furry family members.

Information Andrea M. would like to know about your pet

Before any stay, I like to learn about your pet’s personality, preferences, and routine so I can keep things consistent and stress-free. Here’s what helps me give them the best care: 🐾 Feeding routine & schedule (including treats) 💊 Medications & health concerns (plus tips for administering if needed) 🚶‍♂️ Walking habits & leash behavior 🧠 Triggers, fears, or reactivity (e.g. other dogs, loud noises, strangers) 🛏️ Crate training or sleep setup (where do they normally sleep?) 💩 Potty schedule & accident history 🐕‍🦺 Socialization level (with dogs, cats, kids) ❤️ Favorite activities (fetch? cuddles? snuffle mats?) ✈️ Any travel stress, separation anxiety, or comfort items? 🗣️ Commands they know or training cues ⚠️ Anything they really don’t like (e.g. touching paws, loud toys, etc.)

A typical day

Whether we’re enjoying a sunny walk around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the yard, or curling up for a cozy break inside, I make sure every pet gets the attention and engagement they need. I adjust our activities based on your pet’s age, energy level, and comfort—some dogs love games and “sniffaris”, while others prefer structured walks or puzzle toys for mental stimulation. I always build in quiet time, too, especially for pups who are a little shy or need space to decompress. For drop-ins and overnights, I stick to your pet’s normal routine to help them feel at ease, and I’m happy to include meds, enrichment toys, or just extra cuddle time.

Patient, Skilled, Pet-Loving Pro

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m a middle school band director and lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all sizes and temperaments. I’ve owned and trained my own dogs since I was 9 years old, and I even pursued pre-vet studies through college. I worked at my local veterinary clinic for three summers doing kennel care and reception, so I’m very comfortable with boarding routines, medication administration (I’m very patient with pills!), and dogs who need a little extra TLC.

Andrea was such an amazing Rover sitter! She watched my senior dog, and took great care of him and our house. She kept me updated with messages and pictures which made being away from our dog much easier. I highly recommend Andrea and hope to have her dogsitt again!

Andrea did a great job and the dogs enjoyed the care she received from her. She was very good at providing pictures 2x’s a day following their feedings and leaving a text with updates. Would use her again.
