Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. I’m available throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, playtime, enrichment activities, and lots of companionship. Whether your pet needs a quick check-in or overnight care, I enjoy making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away.

The more I know about your pet, the better I can make their stay fun, safe, and stress-free! Please let me know about any medications, allergies, special diets, or feeding routines ahead of time. I’d also love to hear about any behavioral quirks or challenges, whether it’s leash pulling, being nervous around strangers, guarding toys, or just a funny habit they have. Most importantly, tell me the dos and don’ts (especially the don’ts!). If there are certain commands they know, things they’re not allowed to do, or anything that helps them feel comfortable, I’m all ears. Every pet is unique, so don’t hesitate to share anything you think I should know!
A typical day
I love keeping dogs both physically and mentally engaged! Depending on your dog’s personality and energy level, we can play fetch, tug-of-war, go on walks or runs, and enjoy plenty of outdoor time. For social pups, doggy playdates can also be a great way to burn energy and have fun. Mental enrichment is just as important as physical exercise, so I love incorporating activities like nose work games, sniffing out hidden treats, lick mats, stuffed Kongs, and simple training sessions. I have a particular interest in canine behavior and enrichment, so I enjoy finding fun ways to keep dogs happy, confident, and mentally stimulated while you're away.

Hi, I’m Andrea! I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and have been surrounded by dogs my entire life. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary concentration, where I got hands-on experience working with a variety of species and learned about animal behavior, handling, training, and basic medical care. One of the coolest experiences I had was working in a research facility that studied canine scent detection (nose work). I also took animal training courses in college, which sparked my interest in dog behavior and enrichment. I love learning how dogs think and finding fun ways to keep them happy, confident, and mentally stimulated. These days, I’m a nurse by profession, but caring for animals has always been a passion of mine. My nursing background has made me dependable, attentive, and comfortable handling situations that require patience and attention to detail. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, sniffing games, training sessions, or just curling up on the couch for company, I’m happy to tailor their care to what makes them happiest. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and my goal is to make sure they feel safe, loved, and have a great time while you’re away!

Kind and communicative, but did not complete the amount of time agreed upon for walks. About half of the walk was completed each time. However, she did stay with our dog when she cut the walks short inside. She agreed to do this very last minute and was very flexible.

Andrea went above and beyond taking care of my boys! She constantly sent me updates, answered my FaceTime when I wanted to see them and they enjoyed their time with her! Will definitely hire again ?
