I previously worked as a Psychotherapist in the NHS but I am currently taking a career break, which means I am home full time and able to dedicate plenty of attention and care to the dogs I look after.

I understand that every dog is different, and I always try to tailor my care to each dog’s individual personality and needs so they feel safe and comfortable, while with me. I have a ground flat with a private patio. With an open and spacious layout, pets are free to roam safely but always supervised. I have an additional play pen that I can set up if required.

Information Andrea M. would like to know about your pet
Because I already own a dog, daycare bookings are best suited to dogs who are friendly with (or tolerate) other dogs or puppies. I have space at home to keep dogs separate and facilitate gradual introductions. However I can only accept dogs for daycare bookings following a meet a greet with my dog before the day of the booking. For walk only bookings I’m happy to walk your dog individually, but if you would like them to have a playful companion at the park, Murphy would also be happy to join. For drop in visits, I’ll come alone. To help me provide the best possible care, please include the following information when booking: • Dietary needs – type of food, portion sizes, feeding schedule, whether treats are allowed, and any allergies or stomach sensitivities • Exercise routine – your dog’s usual exercise levels and requirements • Medical history – including any current conditions, medications, or allergies • Emergency contact details – including your vet’s phone number/address and instructions on how you would like emergencies handled. ‼️PLEASE NOTE‼️ I do not accept bookings for walks when it is 28+ degrees hot. Dogs do not sweat through their skin like humans do and are technically “wearing a coat” so heat stroke can happen within minutes, even in the shade. Plus the ground is too hot for their little paws!! For daycare bookings I will facilitate relieving themselves in my garden or at the park next to my building for a few minutes, the rest of the day will be spent doing enriching activities indoors to keep them mentally stimulated. On hot days for walks, please book very early in the morning or late evening when the weather is cooler!
A typical day
A typical day includes walks in the morning, afternoon, and evening around Southwark Park and surrounding areas, where dogs can safely sniff, explore, play fetch, and enjoy structured freedom. I will walk your dog on a 10 metre training leash for safe running. If safe, I let go of the leash so your dog can run around and explore but I always stay at a distance where I can see easily grab it and recall the dog if we come across an unsafe situation. At home, I focus on calm enrichment such as puzzle toys, gentle play, trick training, and mental stimulation games, along with plenty of rest and downtime.

Pet care experience
As a dog mum myself, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy to look after your dog. Your pet’s comfort, wellbeing, and routine will always be my priority, and I aim to make every walk or stay feel safe, positive, and as stress-free as possible. Alongside caring for my 11-month-old puppy, Murphy, I also support a local dog walker whenever they have additional bookings and need a hand, giving me experience with dogs of different temperaments, needs, and energy levels. Before having Murphy, I regularly provided dog sitting through BorrowMyDoggy, caring for a senior dog, which helped me build confidence working with dogs who require a slower pace, extra patience, and additional attention. I know it can feel stressful leaving your dog with someone new, so I provide regular photo and video updates throughout their time with me to help you feel reassured, relaxed, and connected while they’re in my care! 🐶🐾
Reviews

Andrea was absolutely fantastic with my Weimaraner Hilda. She is clearly experienced with dogs (big and small!) Hilda had so much fun. Murphy is a fantastic fun friend - so well behaved and just all and all a great companion to fellow dogs! Great communication and Hilda is already looking forward to her next visit with Andrea and Murphy!!

I honestly couldn't recommend Andrea highly enough. Bailey had the best time with her. He got loads of exercise, plenty of playtime, and I loved that her own puppy Murphy is a similar age, so they were able to learn, play and build confidence together. They got on so well, and it was lovely knowing Bailey had a little friend for the day. What really stood out to me is how much Andrea genuinely cares about the wellbeing and development of the dogs she looks after. She gets the balance just right between play, training, enrichment and making sure they have plenty of time to rest too, which is so important for puppies. Andrea kept me updated during the day, and I felt completely at ease knowing Bailey was with her. She's kind, trustworthy and clearly passionate about what she does. Bailey honestly couldn't have been in safer hands, and I'll have absolutely no hesitation in booking with Andrea again. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my little boy! ❤️ xx

Andrea is brilliant, highly recommend her for daycare or board! She was very helpful in finding drop off times and locations that worked (including accommodating a later booking!). She provided lots of updates throughout the evening and was great at problem solving when Pepino and Murphy were getting a little too excited! Could not recommend her enough!
