Hello there! I am Andrea and I care for one dog at a time. This allows me to give lots of attention to your loved pet. Morning snuggles, conversations, toy play and slow walks in my neighborhood are all part of the day. I work from home, so they can sleep next to me on my couch or by feet throughout the day. My approach is patience, kindness and gentleness. In the beginning, I spend time getting to know your dog and "introducing" myself to them. Some enjoy lots of silly play, others prefer a calm lap to settle into and sweet snuggles. I adjust to what makes them the most comfortable. Their preferences come first and I respond accordingly. My goal is for their stay with me to be comfortable and fun - and maybe a little silly. I have experience administering medications, both pills and shots, and I've cared for a handful of senior dogs. I understand the extra attention and gentleness that older pups or dogs with medical needs require. I live by myself and try to create a peaceful environment. No kids or other pets live with me. There is quiet, my conversations with your pet (I like to narrate what I do and ask their opinion or input, so they feel included throughout the day) and sometimes classical music in the background. Family sometimes visits too, and they always love giving the dogs extra affection. My home is one level with a fenced grassy backyard. They are free to use the doggy door, or I can let them out. At night, I am thrilled if they want to sleep on my bed and snuggle (or whatever they are used to at home). My quiet neighborhood is wonderful for walks, and I will take them on daily walks to explore and sniff. I'm a real estate agent, which allows me to work from home. A lot of my work is marketing and computer based, so I can work while sitting right next to your pet. I believe there is a sweet, loving soul in every dog (all animals) and I try to connect to each one with love and kindness - and a little goofiness (smile). That makes me so happy. It's the ultimate reward, knowing I gave them an enjoyable experience on their previous visit and created a true friendship with them.
