Walks, Stays & Play Whist You're Away!
I found my first stray dog, Fluffy, a standard poodle, when I was just 8 years old. I slept in his bed with him, made him breakfast every morning and cried when my father brought him back from the groomers for the first time; he was sporting the traditional 'poodle' cut and I thought he'd been swapped out! Later in life, I brought home two golden retrievers as a gift for my daughter and whilst creating some amazing memories with Zak and Oliver, I'd inadvertently lit a spark in her which I would discover later on.. Now I have Keith Woodstock; he'll be 14 in April of this year (2025). He has been my motivation and companion since my children left home. He's amazing with other dogs, in fact a friend of mine adopts greyhounds and he's taught many how to 'dog'! Ginger, Ned and Pam are my granddoggos and we spend lots of time with them. I run a small business with my daughter (part-time) and we attend many events throughout the year from Crufts to Goodwoof! I live in Roundhay and the park is just a 15 minute walk from my house. Needless to say, I am the classic 'dog person', be it puppies or seniors, large or small, I love them all.

Rufus had a brilliant time staying with Andi for 8 days. He warmed to Andi and her dog as soon as we met (which isn’t usually the case as he’s a nervous rescue dog). Rufus settled in straight away when I dropped him off. He had plenty of walks and endless attention. I don’t think he wanted to come home! He’s already looking forward to his next stay.

Andrea has been absolutely lovely with my dog Leo (A energetic silly Golden Retriever). Even with a very last minute booking, she was responsive quickly and managed to organise the plan well.

Andrea is an amazing dog sitter and we would highly recommend her to everyone. Rufus had a great time staying with her and we could tell he was very well cared for. She sent us lots of photos and kept us updated regularly, which gave us real peace of mind. Andrea is incredibly kind and it’s clear that she truly loves and understands dogs. Her own dog, Keith, is also very sweet and got along really well with Rufus. We would definitely book her again!

Andrea was a wonderful sitter and we'd have her look after Acorn again without hesitation. She really understands dogs and their needs. Acorn clearly had a fantastic holiday whilst we had ours.

Andi is amazing! She met up with us beforehand to make sure that all the dogs would get along with one another. She gave regular updates with gorgeous photos and videos which showed that our dog was having a great time and loving staying with her. When we returned we got an enthusiastic welcome at the door but then our dog then ran back inside and snuggled down on the sofa again. He clearly thinks Andi’s is now home from home! Thanks Andi, it gave us great reassurance to know he was having such fun whilst we were away.

We can't thank Andrea enough for looking after our beloved family dog Gus! Andrea was brilliant at keeping us updated with photos and videos of all the adventures and daily dog antics. Gus has come home very settled and we feel that this is due to the calm and caring environment Andrea has created for looking after dogs. I look forward to booking Gus on for his next Doggy retreat.

Schedule
When not at events, I am available all weekdays and weekends for walking, sitting and boarding; all day, everyday! I think I've come to the realisation that, like many, I prefer dogs to (some) people, so they will always have my undivided care, love and attention.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a lovely private, fully-enclosed garden with a padlocked gate. My interior space is warm, cosy and I have lots of toys to play with and treats for being a good boy or girl! I love to interact with them and have puzzles and games I like to play, as well as having a well-earned cuddle on the sofa after a big walk or a snooze in bed. Space on my bed is limited so first come first served!!
Pets
A typical day
Aside from our standard, daily park walk, we love to venture further out sometimes and visit other parks and countryside. We don't usually 'street walk', but occasionally we might pop in to pick up a coffee and a pup cup. Keith sometimes likes to play ball and stick fetch and he loves his 'sock treats' (I hide treats in old socks and tie them up tightly) and puzzles. He likes to play tug sometimes too and I often play hide and seek in the woods with him. All the family dogs enjoy the same kind of fun and when at my daughter's we love to play 'chase me'! I do still like to train for a few minutes too, whether that's walking to heel, wait, stay, watch me, stop and paw. I can find fun in everything we do!
