Home away from home
Since age 5 I was taking care of dogs with my family. I fostered dogs that had worked in the military and had disabilities. From age 7-15 I volunteered at a veterinary clinic. At age 15 I rescued a Husky-German Shepherd mix and trained her. I am very patient and able to provide medication (oral, topical and subcutaneous) as indicated by your veterinarian. I have experience providing care to puppies/kittens as well as senior pets.

Andrea and Fanny were fantastic dog sitters for our timid boxer, Hercules. They had a calming presence and helped Hercules settle in quickly, he even ate all his food with them which is a rarity for him. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Schedule
I work from home in the mornings so I am available to give a lot of attention to your pet. So if that means lots of play time or going on frequent walks/potty breaks, I can accommodate their needs into my schedule. On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons I am at work outside of the house from 4-7, so your pet won't be alone for more than 3 hrs. My partner also works from home so there is always someone at home to look after them.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet will be well cared for in a large apartment with access to a park 3 minutes away. Because I work from home I am available to provide the pets with fresh food and water, regular walks, and play. I try to mimic your pets routine as much as possible with their regular feeding/napping schedule. I don't have children or personal pets that will interfere with your pets stay. If your pet doesn't get along with other animals I can ensure no other pets will be staying at the apartment. I don't have any crates/kennels in my home, but if your dog requires one on your request I can procure one.
A typical day
I live near Riverside park where there are plenty of green areas to run. On our walks I let dogs take their time to sniff and not hurry them, we play fetch, tug with toys and if the dog is socialized we go to dog park. Once we get back home they get fresh water, treats, and a long brushing session. I always keep in mind the pets energy level and adjust activities according to their routines and needs.
