I’m currently in school with the Karen Pryor Academy. That means boarding is paused for now, but I’m happy to offer loving, reliable drop-ins and walks. Your pet receives trainer-level handling, emotional support, and thoughtful monitoring in the comfort of their own home.

A typical day
Even without offering boarding, your pet still gets a fun, enriching experience during walks and drop-ins. I tailor each visit to your dog’s personality and needs whether that’s slow “sniffari” walks, choose-your-own-adventure exploring, light positive-reinforcement training moments (like loose-leash practice), toy play, puzzles, confidence games, or calm decompression time for shy or sensitive pups. Every visit is unrushed, engaging, and designed to support your dog’s emotional well-being, giving them joy, structure, and choice during their day.

KPA Dog Trainer in Training!
Pet care experience
After years of rehabilitating behavioral foster dogs, I’m taking the next step by pursuing formal credentialing through the Karen Pryor Academy. With Fear Free Certification coming July 2026, I’m offering drop-ins and dog walks grounded in real experience, science-based handling, and the perk of a dog trainer in training. Animals have been my world since I was a teen bottle-feeding kittens, comforting shy shelter pups in South Florida, and even helping the occasional wildlife visitor. I’ve also loved and adopted several rescue dogs of my own—now across the rainbow bridge, but forever shaping my empathy, medical awareness, and soft spot for seniors and pets with special needs. My passion for “dogs with big feelings” led me to behavioral fostering with Gaisha Tundra Spirit Rescue, specializing in Huskies and Malamutes. I supported decompression, confidence building, leash skills, and structured routines—helping sensitive pups settle and thrive. Professionally, I’ve spent nine years as a licensed massage therapist, bringing a calm, grounded, nervous-system-aware presence that animals tend to trust immediately. During walks or drop-ins, your pet will receive: • Positive-reinforcement handling only • A steady, kind, predictable human • Behavioral awareness + safety-first care • Respect for routines, meds, and emotional needs • Genuine joy, patience, and praise Whether your pet is shy, silly, senior, spicy, or reactive, I’ll meet them where they are and help them feel safe, supported, and understood.

Reviews

Andrea is very knowledgeable, professional & caring. She goes the extra mile & clearly loves helping.
Andrea is truly exceptional. As both a dog trainer and dog sitter, she provides a level of care, professionalism, and expertise that is hard to find. From the moment we met her, it was clear how deeply she understands dogs and how passionate she is about helping them thrive. Her training approach is patient, effective, and tailored to each dog's unique personality and needs. We saw noticeable improvements in behavior, confidence, and responsiveness, and she always took the time to explain the "why" behind her methods so we could continue reinforcing them at home. As a dog sitter, Andrea goes far beyond simply watching our dog—she treats them like family. Knowing our dog is in her care gives us complete peace of mind. She is dependable, attentive, communicative, and genuinely invested in our dog's well-being and happiness. We always come home to a happy, well-cared-for pup. If you're looking for someone who combines expert training skills with incredible compassion and reliability, Andrea is the best there is. We are so grateful to have found her and recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for outstanding care and training for their dog.
Andrea is an INCREDIBLE pet caregiver. Her knowledge for training, care taking, and nurturing dogs is unparalleled. She loves dogs so much, and they love her back even more- I swear she is the dog whisperer! I have seen her confidently and calmly walk and control 4 dogs at time, with ease and joy. She pampers the pups that she cares for. My own dog truly loves Andrea more than she loves us, her own doggy parents :). Andrea is an incredible animal lover, and anyone would be so lucky to have her taking care of their animals.
I am thrilled to recommend Andrea Fajardo for any dog walking or pet sitting position. She is exceptionally knowledgeable about animals, their behavior, needs, and the best way to care for them. Beyond her expertise, she is truly one of the kindest, most compassionate and loving people I know. Her gentle nature and genuine affection for animals shine through everything she does. She has cared for my pet and anyone else needing help should hire her in a second! Any family or company would be lucky to have her on their team!
