Former dog mom, forever dog lover
Hi, I’m Andrea! I’m a lifelong dog lover and former doodle mom, excited to give your pup the same love, care, and attention as my own. Our family’s miniature goldendoodle, Bailey, passed away this past summer, and I truly miss having a dog around. While we’re not ready to get another pup just yet, I would love the chance to walk, play with, and care for your dog. I know how tricky it can be to travel or be away from home and find someone trustworthy to care for your furry family member. You can feel confident knowing your dog will be loved and cared for by both me and my husband. Whether it’s walks, cuddles, or just making sure they stick to their normal routine, I’ll treat your pup like part of the family.

Ratings and reviews
Our kitty Birdie is not good with people she does not know She did great with Andrea! She took snacks from her and jet her pet her Was do good to our cat would definitely recommend!

Andrea Carlson is a great dog and cat sitter. She has had a few dogs and their cat friends in her family life for the last 25 years. Andrea is a caring wife and mother of three adult children, only recently becoming an empty nester. Unfortunately, the last family pets Bailey (14 year-old golden doodle) and George (18 year-old gray rescue cat) passed on to pet heaven in the last year and a half. Andrea loves and misses her pets and has decided to become a caretaker of others’ pets instead of getting new pets.
Andrea is my mom and a frequent dog sitter for my husband and I’s pup. There is no one we would trust more, and she has become one of our dog’s favorite people. She is caring, loves to get the dogs outside, and will treat your pet like her own!

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I love to walk and we’re lucky to live right by the bike trail, Van Peenan, and Palisades Park—so there are plenty of beautiful walking areas just steps from our home. We also have a large house where dogs can feel comfortable roaming if that’s what they enjoy. For pups who are crate-trained, we have a convenient mudroom space that works perfectly for setting up a crate. Whether in our home or a client’s, I focus on making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while keeping them active and happy.
A typical day
