Welcome to Annie's Pawsome Retreat!! There is no better feeling than when a dog accepts you as a safe person for them. We are a dog loving family. We provide a loving home for our doggy guests. We allow our guests on the furniture (if approved by their owner), as they are family when they are here. We don't use crates or kennels for sleeping, unless the owner requests it or the dog prefers it. We can also set up their own kennel if they are more comfortable with that as well. We are a stay at home parent family, with Andrea being home all day. Your dog will be well taken care of and never left alone. This is especially helpful for our guests with separation anxiety. It is very common for us to look after these types of dogs. Daycare is a great option for dogs with separation anxiety. It gives the owner some peace of mind knowing their fur baby is loved and cared for while at work or away on a trip. We do send many photos, videos and updates throughout their stay if boardong and for every daycare visit. We live less than 10 min away from West Edmonton Mall. This makes it easy for those from out of town looking to spend a day or two at the mall. As of late we have had to become more selective with who we can accept because the majority of our regulars are medium to smaller dogs. We want to ensure our doggy guests feel safe and secure with each other in the loving environment we provide. Many of our guests have been with us since the very beginning, Since Aug 2024. We have been so blessed to have the most amazing recurring daycare and boarding guests. Many of them started coming here since they were 3 months old. So we have had the pleasure of watching them grow up. They all get along so well with each other as well because of how socialized they have become by being here with us so much. Our son is 11 years old and is the sweetest, most loving boy. He loves to help us take care of the dogs. He especially loves the cuddles and playtime. Many of our boarding pups love to sleep beside him or on his floor. He has no complaints about that. He always feels so protected by them. It is adorable. We live in a nice, quiet neighborhood that is perfect for daily walks. We are convinced that everyone here has a dog or two. We also have a fully enclosed back yard with 6 foot fence. We truly enjoy taking care of our doggy guests so much. This is my (Andrea) dream job and I am very blessed to have the best clients here on Rover. We recently said goodbye to our 16 year old Wired Haired Fox Terrier named Courtenday (April 11th 2026). She suffered with cushings disease and was also blind and deaf for the last 3 years of her life. She needed pain injections every month that we administered ourselves, on top of daily blood pressure medication that we fed to her using peanut butter or cheese. So we have a lot of experience caring for senior dogs. We don't keep any chicken or poultry dog food or treats in the home due to the fact that it is a very common allergy. We have decided on not getting another puppy at this time because we have the most amazing regular guest pups thanks to Rover. They fill our home with so much joy. We are so incredibly blessed.
