Well I've always lived in a home with a dog. I started taking care of dogs when I was six years old because my mom felt it was a great way to develop responsibility. Furthermore I was an only child so having a dog present makes up for the time alone. However I always watched my family members dogs often beginning at the age of ten. My family saw how responsible I was with my pet and how I admire dogs so they decided to offer me extra allowance when I watched over their dogs starting at that age (10). Later when I turned 14 and attended high school I wrote an essay about my first dogs which were two Dalmations and everyone loved it and discovered my pet sitting history with my family's dogs so it transitioned to me officially pet sitting other dogs. This helped a lot because I played sports year round in high school making it hard to find a job that would hire temporarily. My mom informed me of this site and I thought it would great to join rover and take on this golden and fun opportunity. Work isn't work when you love what you're doing.
