Lifelong dog parents - caring & active.
Myself and my partner have lived with dogs for our entire lives, and have owned our own dogs for the last 12 years. We recently immigrated to the UK and would love to look after your dogs as if they were our own. We had to make the difficult decision to leave our dogs in South Africa in a loving home (my mother), as their anxiety was too severe for us to bring them with us safely. We have experience with dogs that are anxious, fearful of both other dogs and humans, and suffer with separation anxiety. After having two shelter dogs of our own, we're acutely aware of the special care anxious dogs need to feel comfortable. We have put our own dogs through training and enjoy setting them tasks and games to stimulate them mentally as well as physically with walks. We promise to provide a loving and comfortable home for your pets. Between my partner and I, someone is always home, and can offer lots of walkies and cuddles at all hours of the day. We have a fenced back garden and your dog will have access to the entire house apart from the upstairs bedrooms. My home office door is always open for dogs and I would love the company, if I'm being honest. There is no road access from our garden and the front door is always closed, so your pet won't have access to the road. We also have two dog beds for small/medium dogs that we bought for our own dogs before realising they were happier staying in South Africa. We also have toys, balls, and food bowls :)

As soon as we met Andre and his wife, we got a great vibe from them both. They were friendly, chatty and it was very clear that they love dogs. Our cockerpoo Maddie also loved them and we were very happy to book them to care for her. Maddie only stayed for one night, but Andre sent lots of pictures and updates on how she was getting on. Andre was fantastic, kept Theo entertained for the 4 days he looked after him, we received lots of updates & pictures over the weekend which was very reassuring.
Andre and his partner were awesome, we booked a very last-minute stay due to a surprise wedding in Oxford and they couldn’t have been more accommodating nugget had a brilliant time and we were kept up-to-date with regular pictures. Thank you.

Schedule
I work from home, and take regular breaks, so interacting with dogs in those times is a treat for me as much as it is for your dog. I also have the freedom to walk them during my lunch break and in the evening.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced garden and work downstairs when I'm pet sitting. This allows me to interact with your dog more in a place where I can supervise even while working, and can tell if they want to be let out to do their business.
A typical day
I have plenty of time to go on walks in the morning and evening, and we know plenty of dog-friendly parks in the area. We're happy just walking, throwing a ball, playing tug, or just acting like idiots to amuse your dog if that's their favourite form of stimulus.
