Pet care experience

I absolutely love all animals~ :)

I’ve owned animals for almost my entire life. I am now a certified veterinary assistant which means I have no problem caring for dogs with special needs. I have experience volunteering at CALM in California where I cleaned wild animal pens and engaged in general animal husbandry. I have experience volunteering with Streets of Bakersfield at Kern County Animal Services where I take a shelter dog out of their kennel for the day. I also have experience interning at Cooke’s Veterinary Hospital in Bakersfield, CA where I often interact with patients, help with nail trims, shave down animals, administer medications and engage in general veterinary care. In addition, I have experience pet sitting for my cousin where I watched, played with, and fed their two golden retrievers. I also have grooming experience with the veterinary technology program at ROC. I also have trained and showed dogs with my junior handlers club. I currently work for the daycare at Tail Waggin Adventures where I take care of up to 50 dogs that are either boarding or enjoying daycare.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a multitude of leashes and backup leashes that I can use to ensure that your pet doesn’t get hurt or lost during their walks. I also have experience with identifying animal behavior and with difficult dogs so behavior problems are not a big deal to me. There’s honestly no worry when you’re putting your animal in my care.

Schedule

I am a college student which means I have limited free time although I mainly have morning classes. I often find time within my schedule to care for my dog which means I have no issue fitting pet care into my schedule.

16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
over 101 lbs
Andie can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
Let me know if your dog has any behavioral issues that I should be aware of. Although I am okay and will accept dogs that are a little bit naughty, it’s important to know so I can be prepared. Also let me know if your dog has any food allergies or if you simply don’t want me to feed your dog any treats.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
