Hello! I’m a recent veterinary technician graduate from Pima Community College. I have taken care of my challenging dogs for 10 years, both of them being tiny, feisty Chihuahuas. I am also skilled in handling cats, as an owner of them. I also have experience with reptiles, birds, guinea pigs, and rabbits through my internships. This has mostly been walking and checking up on them, especially as they both had medical issues. I have experience with giving oral medicine & eye drops. I know how to give medications, orally & SQ fluids. I am experienced with diabetic & kidney disease care, as well as elder animal care. I’m extremely tiny, so I would prefer dogs that are smaller and/or well-tempered, especially with walking on a leash. I do not care about cat temperament as long as they are not aggressive. I do not accept walks for dogs under 2 years old, but I do accept drop-in visits for them. I am also allergic to clay cat litter, so please let me know if you have cats in the house! If you would like me to petsit and scoop the litter, please transition your cat(s) to a non-clay litter prior to my visit. (Or use newspaper!) Other than that, thank you so allowing me to have this wonderful experience that will allow me to delve deeper into my field! (And get to know their wonderful personalities!)

I always make sure to open the door slowly when coming into your home. I double and triple check care instructions to ensure that I do everything that you are entrusting me to do. I have medical experience as a veterinary technician, so I understand safety for myself and your pet is of utmost importance.

This was my first experience with Rover.com and Zander was a wonderful introduction to the service. They were communicative, organized (took lots of notes at our meet and greet), and sent great pictures and updates. Most importantly, when I got home, I could tell from my pet’s behavior that they were well cared for while I was gone. My pet usually gets depressed and stops eating and drinking when I am gone and acts needy when I get home - none of that occurred on this trip. THAT was a great testimony to Ander’s care.
Ander is the absolute best. Perfect care for my cat, checks in regularly, and sends some truly golden pictures ? I recommend Ander for anyone looking for pet care, and I will likely contact them again the next time I go out of town. Thanks, Ander!

Schedule
I currently have a full-time job with my own pets that I am able to check up on every 2 days or so. I currently work most weekdays 6am-2pm, and some Saturdays 6am-6pm, so I am unable to provide care for other pets during those times. My calendar availability has the best info for my schedule!
