As a school educator who is off over the summer, I have a very open schedule during the day. This allows me to provide your pet with the frequent bathroom breaks, medication, and personalized attention they may need to stay happy and comfortable while you're away.

I am careful to follow your instructions fully. I myself have regimented care instructions for my cats including doing ninja moves to make sure they do not escape outside as well as weighing their food to the gram and you can expect the same amount of care toward your cuties. I am knowledgeable about potential toxins to both cats and dogs and will make sure they stay clear of them. On walks, I am actively scanning the environment to spot potential dangers or keep your dog from being a street vacuum 😉

The more information you can provide about your pet ahead of time, the better for me. Some questions to consider: Dogs: Do they like to eat non-food items (socks, rocks, stuffies)? Do they have a prey drive and will they chase smaller animals? Do they get easily spooked by anything in particular (bikes, buses, thunder, fireworks, sirens)? Can they gently approach other dogs? Allergies (food, environmental)? If they get muddy, how do they do with baths?, etc Cats: How do they like to be pet? Allergies (food, environmental)? Do they like to chew/eat anything they shouldn't (cables, plants, earplugs)? How do they like to play? Are they strictly indoors?, etc
A typical day
Depending on your preference and your pet's energy level and needs, we will have an active walk/play session, including your pet's preferred games. I am fairly active and love to have a pup partner for my walks. Of course, if your pet would rather be left alone, I am happy to keep them company from a comfortable distance. I like to end visits with either a kibble hunt (in a snuffle mat or dispersed around the house) or with a puzzle feeder/lickable treat. I specialize in caring for shy cats and will stop at nothing to gain their trust 😼

Pet care experience
I have two cats and frequently find myself caring for other's pets too. I love all animals as my own and will take great care of your cuties and your place. In my interactions, I take your pet's lead in the amount of energy and attention they need from me, whether that is going for long walks up the mountain or having a quiet conversation on the couch. You can expect photos and updates after each visit! 💕 I have experience caring for dogs of various breeds and sizes and providing basic training via positive reinforcement learning. Additionally, I am an avid plant keeper and would be happy to maintain your plant collection or garden while you are away. Please note: If you request boarding services, your dog needs to be socialized with cats. I have a smallish fenced-in yard that can be set up to comfortably host a pup with in-and-out access. We would need to have a meet and greet with my cats in advance to see if it's a good fit.
