A typical day
A typical day with the dogs I care for is active, balanced, and always shaped around their individual needs. I make sure they get a good mix of exercise, sniffing time, play, and mental stimulation, whether that means a relaxed neighbourhood walk, a more enriching outing, or some calm training-style games at home. I like to keep things fun but also reassuring, so dogs can enjoy themselves while still feeling safe and settled. I always pay attention to their energy, mood, and body language, and adjust the day to suit them — whether they’re lively and playful or prefer a gentler pace.

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile :) My name is Anastasia, and my first word was "a dog." I recently moved from Barcelona to Amsterdam, so my profile on the platform is new, and I'm looking forward to getting to know the Netherlands' four-legged residents! My goal is to provide the same level of care, love, and attention as if you were home and maintain the routine, so that your fur friend feels as comfortable as possible :) Back in 2016, I decided to turn my love for animals into something more constructive that may actually help dogs and their humans, and this is how I became a dog trainer. My approach is based on compassion, positive reinforcement, and understanding animal needs. We don't punish or tell a dog what NOT to do; we show what we want from a dog and how to achieve it (and even receive a tasty treat!). After working at a dog hotel, volunteering at shelters for many years, and then launching my dog-training project (alongside my husband, who is also a dog trainer), I have deep expertise in creating a safe and loving space for your favourite creatures in the world. I contacted Anastasia when I saw her ad published when I was living in Spain. At some point I had to travel often and my Vivi (giant Schnauzer) needed someone to take care of her. As you might know, though intelligent, Schnauzers are challenging to train and they like to test the limits, so I was very selective and picky when it came to a dog sitter/house carer. Not only my dog can be challenging, 1 also have OCD so 1 am very particular about how my house should look and be (4 stars for tidiness only because couple of books were in a wrong place upon my arrival, otherwise easy 5 stars). Once I met with Anastasia, something told me that she is the guest I could let into my house and trust with my dog. During the intro, it was easy to communicate with her; she is inquisitive, understanding and as professional as they come. Sometimes she was asking me questions about my dog that even I did not think about knowing, we decided to proceed to introduction to Vivi almost right away. I was a bit worried but in the end I did not have a reason to worry. Even though Vivi was somewhat cautious and provocative at first, they were able to find common ground super fast, to my relief. After scheduling one more meeting to take Vivi for a walk and her training, I explained to Anastasia Vivi's routine and how I do things (even there she was able to teach me a thing or two about dog behavior) and it was a success; after that I no longer had any doubts that I would like Vivi to spend time with Anastasia. I explained the rules of my place and soon took off for a week. Upon return, I was expecting to see my dog sad and anxious about me not being there, however, to my surprise I returned to a happy (for a second I thought vivi was even happier than before | left), beautiful, healthy dog. My place was well taken care of, almost as organized as when I was leaving, except for 2 books being at the wrong shelf. Overall, in grand scheme of things, I did not have even an idea of complaining or being dissatisfied with anything. I recommend Anastasia to my friends and would honestly recommend her to anyone, if one was to ask me. P.S.: Anastasia likes to read, like a lot. So if you don't have at least a bookshelf at home or you would not want people to touch your books, make sure she knows so that she can bring her own books.
Anastasia is very responsible and trustworthy. She took great care of my pet and kept me updated along the way. You can tell she really loves animals. I definitely recommend her 😊
