I work from home most weeks, and can accommodate most dogs at most times. I am a dog lover through and through, having had one for over 17 years. I love taking dogs on walks, relaxing with them, and making sure they're well cared for. I am available most hours of the day, with a few exceptions that the dog owners will be notified of prior to any booking (I teach a lecture Mon-Thurs and work some weekends).

I frequently dog sit my family's pets, and am happy to make accommodations for any specific needs your pet may have. My apartment is spacious enough for a pet to be comfortable, but for the more energetic pet, I am happy and excited to take them on walks and dog parks. If a dog has a more protracted stay with me, I am happy to take them further away from the house on a trip, with details discussed with the dog owner. My rule for pets is that my house is their house. I keep cables tidy and as out of reach as possible, my space is clean, I am okay with dogs jumping on furniture and have kept my space accommodating for pets of all sizes and needs. I do prefer hosting smaller dogs, and prefer to "get to know" your dog on a walk or in a comfortable space to minimize their potential anxieties about being in a new space.

A typical day
I am very accommodating to different types of pets with different wants and needs. I understand that some dogs like to run outside for 5 hours a day, and others prefer to lounge about and only take the occasional walk. I am open to accommodating both types of dogs. During the workday (10-7), I cannot be as high engagement with the dog (I can take them on multiple 15 minute walks for the restroom and to get some sun, and go on a longer, 1 hour walk during the lunch break). Before the start of the day, after the workday ends and on weekends where I don't have work, I am happy to take a dog on a more prolonged hike, and will focus my attention solely on them.

Pet care experience
I had a dog for 18 years and he recently passed from cancer. While I'd love to get a new dog for myself now, my work life situation makes the ownership of a new dog not realistic at this time. I'd like to house dogs, take them on walks and runs, and earn some pocket change doing so. In addition, walking a dog every day would do me wonders in getting me back in shape, which is something I'm looking forward to. I have a 1 bedroom apartment, large living space and kitchen. I'm happy to accommodate the dogs on my couch, or if needed on my bed. Because of the remote nature of my work, I'm available most days.

I boarded RaKi with Anand for about a week, and I would definitely recommend him as an amazing caretaker. He was very communicative, responsive, and upfront about any concerns he noticed, while still handling everything calmly and confidently which was incredibly reassuring, especially with RaKi being just 4 months old and me being a new pup parent. Anand showed genuine care and love toward RaKi, and he kept me updated regularly with photos and behavior notes. I truly appreciated the attention, transparency, and kindness he put into caring for my puppy. He even sent RaKi home with a couple of toys he enjoyed during his stay, such a thoughtful gesture! Highly recommend Anand!
Anand is a great sitter and my Lucy adores him.
Anand was great with Lucy. She was very excited to meet him from the meet and greet and then for the actual stay. He sent pictures of their walks and just lounging around his apartment. I would definitely recommend him as he is a very good sitter.
