Hello there! I go by Declan but both names are fine, and my preferred pronouns are he/they. I've been a pet sitter since 2020, and now consider it as my job. I have acquired a lot of experience over the years, on top of a childhood spent with cats and dogs (and horses). With compassion and patience, I'm able to look after any type of dog or cat, even if they are old, on medication, nervous, or reactive. I love all animals and always do everything I can to give them the best care possible. Constant care: if your pet requires constant care (ie if I can't leave them alone more than 2 hours), holiday rates will be applied to ensure fair remuneration and because it would require cancelling my other regular commitments during the week. Thank you for your understanding. Fees: I am always open to discussion and negotiation, if there are multiple animals for instance. I understand that not every budget can afford professional pet care, but I wish to provide a reliable and excellent service to everyone whenever possible. Reliable, responsible, and caring, I know how much time and attention is needed to make our beloved pets the happiest on earth. I can assure you I’ll do my best to ensure your dog or cat is properly looked after, as if they were my own. I make sure to respect their character, and your recommendations and wishes will be followed. I hope to meet you and your pets soon! ps: I have the Rover app, so you can quickly get in touch with me, and I can easily share news and pictures during sittings.

Safety, trust & environment
I do my best to always stay with them while they are in my care and stick to their usual schedule of meals and walks. I try to implement any training they might be having and always provide plenty of exercise if they need it. Mostly I offer a peaceful and relaxed environment, and this is especially true for cats. I follow their lead regarding socialisation and never impose myself.

Declan is always brilliant with our two cats, one of him needs special care. They are very fond of Declan and I always feel confident they are being well taken care of and loved.

Declan looked after your greyhound for a long weekend. Communication was excellent and they took great care of our dog, who was very relaxed and settled throughout. Would highly recommend and would definitely book again.
Anais was really friendly, respectful of our home, able to work independently/without much instruction, and clearly has a lot of experience with a variety of different breeds and dog behaviours. It was the first time we had gone on holiday without our dogs and we felt comfortable leaving them with Anais and enjoyed the updates and photos we got while we were away
Declan was a perfect companion for our wonky little dog! Chip is a very specific and sometimes confusing wee pup, but Declan took it all in his stride. The house was immaculate and Chip was very very content after their stay! We can’t wait to book in again.
Thanks so much for looking after Bailey for two nights in our apartment. Really appreciated the regular pics and updates!

Schedule
I have other commitments during the week, but with enough notice (one or two weeks) my schedule is quite flexible. If the pet requires constant care and can't be left alone, a slightly higher fee will be applied. Note that due to a lot of last minute cancellations on requests made too far in advance, I won't book requests more than two months in advance.

I would like to know about : - any habit, like food intake, daily routines, etc, to be able to care for them as best as I can and make the experience comfortable - their personality and communication quirks, to understand them as quick as possible and avoid mistakes - any training, orders, etc, they know, to support their learning and good behaviour
