Looking to help other pet-owners!
Hello, I am a graduate student at UChicago and live in Pilsen/Chinatown area! I am a huge dog lover looking to make memorable moments with all of your fluffy loved ones. If I had the time, I would have pets myself, but for now I'm hoping I can help other owners with their dogs. I live near Jefferson Park and Ping Tom Park, and would be more than happy to walk pets to designated dog parks as well. I usually take a walk everyday around the neighborhood or to the lakefront, which makes it extremely convenient for me to have your pets tag along. My apartment is spacious and pets are free to roam anywhere they'd like. I grew up with 4 dogs in my household so I know how much love and attention they need. I also have been a Rover pet-sitter for the past 6 and a half years and have grown to love it meeting other families with pets. I also offer drop-in visits to take pets out for potty breaks or to walk them. I’ve pet-sat for several families and am more than happy to provide references for you if you’d like to work together. Anahi took great care of our pup. She sent us a pic or two everyday. Our dog looked relaxed and comfortable. Her place seemed safe for dogs and was very conveniently located for dropping a pup off on our way into downtown Chicago.
Anahi was a wonderful sitter for my dog! She had great communication and kept me updated along the stay with photos and messages. She asked questions about his schedule and routine to make a seamless transition. She was very accommodating to his needs! I would highly recommend her- thank you Anahi!
She was very sweet and amazing with my fur babies. She was responsive, very responsible and made sure to update me as the days went on. She took my pup on adventures which she loved. Got home to pets that were very comfortable and happy. Will definitely be using her in the future!
Anahi did a fantastic job watching our dog Snickers for a few days in her home. She kept us updated the entire time and sent us photos of him. Snickers seemed to love her as well, I felt very safe leaving him with her and I would definitely use her services again!
I’m always cautious of having someone new watch my dog, Cashew, but I knew she was in good hands with Anahi. She sent me pictures and updates of how she was doing which set my mind at ease. In all the pictures she looked happy and right at home! On my way back from my weekend getaway, I was running behind to pick up Cashew and Anahi was so flexible and understanding. Would definitely recommend :)
Anahi was great! She took care of my 4 month old Husky and sent me updates every hour or two, walked him, and was very communicative!

Schedule
During the weekends, I more often than not do not have any other responsibilities so I am completely free Friday afternoons - Monday mornings. During the week, I have classes/work but am occasionally able to take small breaks to go home during work hours. I also have a lot more flexibility and availability during the summer. As a researcher, my schedule is flexible and varies from day to day.

Safety, trust & environment
Pets are able to roam around the apartment if they'd like or can also be put in their crate if preferred. I am flexible and will adapt to the owner's preferences! If you have an indoor cat, I am very conscious of making sure they do not leave the home and that all doors remain closed. I will also be able to provide photos and tracking of the routes I take with your dog during the whole visit.
A typical day
During a stay with me, I can offer you to take your pets on a walk with myself and the occasional friend tagalong (who also seek pet attention whenever they have the chance). I can also go to nearby dog parks . If your pet is more adventurous, I am willing to even drive us to local trails around me!
