I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, so caring for them has always come naturally to me. Our Labrador, Laisa, was much more than a family pet – she became a real source of comfort for a family member going through mental health challenges, and seeing the positive difference she made showed me just how special animals can be. I’ve also looked after friends’ pets whenever they’ve been away, either welcoming them into my home or visiting theirs to make sure they’re happy, well-fed and getting plenty of love and attention. Before I started travelling, I also had a horse called Mortadelo, and spending time with him taught me so much about patience, trust and the unique bond between people and animals. I genuinely love being around animals and always treat every pet as if they were my own.
