I work fully remotely with flexible hours, which means I’m home throughout the day and can easily build my routine around the dogs I’m caring for. Pet care naturally fits into my daily schedule, from morning walks and feeding, to playtime, cuddles, and regular toilet breaks throughout the day. I’m able to give dogs plenty of attention and supervision, and I can adapt my routine depending on their needs, whether that’s more active time outside or a calmer, relaxed day at home. Because I’m so flexible, I can also stick closely to your dog’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide a safe, calm, and loving home environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. I have a secure fenced private garden for outdoor time, and my friendly senior pug (11) helps visiting dogs feel relaxed and settled. My home is fully dog-friendly, clean, and hazard-free, with constant supervision and cosy spaces for rest. Dogs are welcome on the sofa and get plenty of attention, cuddles, and enrichment throughout the day. I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, medication, and any special care needs. I’m experienced with puppies, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra support, and I introduce dogs slowly and safely to ensure they get along comfortably. When caring in an owner’s home, I keep everything consistent with their usual routine to minimise stress and make dogs feel secure and happy.

Information Ana Rita P. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your dog, I like to understand as much as possible about their needs so I can give them the best experience. It’s really helpful to know their breed, age, personality, and daily routine, as well as any medical conditions, allergies, or medication requirements. I also ask about their behaviour, especially how they are around other dogs, new people, and different environments. Knowing their exercise needs, recall, and whether they have any anxieties (for example, being left alone, loud noises, or certain situations) helps me plan their care and walks safely. I also like to know what they enjoy most, their favourite toys, treats, and places to walk, as well as anything they don’t like, so I can make them feel as comfortable and happy as possible. The more detail you can share, the better I can tailor their stay and make it feel like a home away from home
A typical day
Fun is a big part of the day! Most of our time is spent on walks in the fields, where dogs can explore, sniff, and enjoy being outdoors. It’s a great space for both relaxed strolls and more energetic walks, depending on what your dog enjoys. I also make sure they have plenty of safe interaction with other friendly dogs (including my own), which is great for socialisation and keeping them happy and stimulated. At home, there’s lots of playtime, enrichment, and of course cuddles and relaxation. I always tailor activities to each dog’s personality, whether they love running around, playing, or just enjoying a calm potter and a cosy nap afterwards

Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a young girl, looking after pets for friends and family as well as my own beloved dog, Charlie, who’s now 11 years old 🐾 These days, I regularly look after friends’ dogs during holidays and busy office days, so I’m very comfortable with different breeds, personalities, and routines. I’m happy caring for puppies, older dogs, and those who may need a little extra attention or special care. I live in a spacious flat with a private garden area, and we’re lucky to be right across the road from Leyton Flats - a favourite spot for dogs, where I take them for most of their walks. I tailor walks to each dog’s needs, whether that’s longer, energetic outings or shorter, more relaxed strolls, and I always make sure they get plenty of fresh air, playtime, and stimulation. At home, dogs are treated like part of the family. They’re more than welcome on the sofa for cuddles, and I aim to create a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and settled. I’m also comfortable giving medication if needed, and I’ll always keep you updated with regular messages and photos 📸 so you can relax knowing your dog is happy and well looked after. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I’ll care for them as if they were my own 💛

A really amazing dog sitter. Bruce had such a good time, the walks from the house were amazing and Bruce was really well looked after.
Amazing dog carer. Ana Rita took such good care of our dog who had separation anxiety. So loving and caring. Great communication too. Thanks

Ana Rita took such wonderful care of my dog. She was very kind and patient with him and sent me lots of lovely updates. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to someone else.
Rita has been absolutely wonderful with our dog. She’s reliable, caring, and clearly loves animals. From the very first walk, our dog felt comfortable and excited to see her again. She always keeps us updated and goes the extra mile to make sure pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I would highly recommend Rita to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet caregiver
