Availability
While back home for summer or winter vacation, I have a very flexible schedule and love to go walking, which is why dog walking and pet sitting suits me perfectly. My other job is during the school year, so it doesn’t interfere with my summer/winter schedules. That means that I am available most days of the week, and I will try to be as accommodating as possible for my clients.

As someone who’s grown up with pets, I regularly help with feeding, walking, playing, cleaning up their litter box or taking them to the bathroom, administering medicine when necessary, along with any other additional care that they need. While working with clients, I write down any specific instructions they have for me and build a consistent routine, especially if I am pet sitting. I understand that different animals have different schedules and needs, so flexibility and safety is my priority.

I typically like to meet each client beforehand to understand feeding, walking, water and any other schedules. If there’s anything they’re particularly sensitive to, that’s helpful to know as well.
A typical day
I love going on walks, so getting to do it with animals just adds to the experience. And I love to play with them using whatever toy they’re obsessed with at the moment — whether it’s that new toy you just bought them or the one they won’t let you get rid of. Or, if they just want to be pet instead of playing, I’m right there to do that!

[Please note: I am back in Maryland for this season.] I’ve always had dogs and cats in my life, whether in my own house or my neighbors’. I’ve become used to both the chaos and peacefulness of pet caretaking, and I’m always ready to learn something new. In terms of dogs, most of my experience has been with small to medium or slightly large dogs, but I’ve spent time with all types and am excited about new experiences. I’ve walked dogs and pet-sat for neighbors as the majority of my paid experience, and I’m looking to expand outside of my neighborhood. As someone who goes to college in another state, I am often in Maryland during the summers and winters, where I have extra love to give to pets (there aren’t many on campus)!

First time using Rover. Ana was super responsive and immediately came over to meet the dogs and go over any concerns. During her visits, she communicated very well and really made the process easy. Would highly recommend her to everyone.
Ana is an amazing dog walker! We have two dogs - one is young and one is quite old. Ana was able to give the proper attention to each which is no easy task. She was reliable, kind, and clearly great with dogs. She provided feedback from her visits and pictures of the pups happy and well-exercised!. I felt completely at ease knowing my dogs were in such good hands. Highly recommend!!
