I wake up early every day to care for my dog then get out to care for yours. My dog is at home with a family member or sometimes at daycare for trips or special events.

A typical day
Each visit includes an energetic walk (unless your companion is a senior or prefers a gentler pace), with plenty of fresh air and time outdoors. If your pet enjoys fetch or tug, I’m happy to include play—just let me know their preferences. When weather, time, and local regulations allow, we may enjoy a beach walk, with toes in the water or a swim if permitted and appropriate. Safety always comes first: dogs remain leashed unless otherwise agreed, walks are adjusted for heat and weather, and activities are tailored to your pet’s age, energy level, and comfort.

Pet care experience
First, dogs love me! I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and dog walk and drop-ins exclusively in Rogers Park, housesitting available in Evanston as well. ( I value a small, neighborhood-based client network and a strong sense of community, which allows me to provide attentive, consistent care.) A meet-and-greet is required for all new clients. It’s important that we both feel comfortable and confident before moving forward with care. I am a dog and (former) cat owner and a trained shelter volunteer, with experience providing walks, feeding, playtime, enrichment, and affectionate care. My approach is grounded in kindness, consistency, and respect for each animal’s individual personality. I also adore cats and am especially comfortable with shy or cautious ones, allowing them to set the pace. In addition to dogs and cats, I’ve provided care for chickens, geese, alpacas, and llamas while house sitting.
