Animals have been central to my life since childhood. I dreamed of being a veterinarian and took pre-vet courses in college, gaining hands-on experience with all types of animals. My state lacked a vet school, but I’ve remained dedicated to animal well-being, volunteering with organizations like the first animal hospice in the United States. I have a degree in Animal Science and a Masters in Public Health, so I have training in animal health and preventive care, safety and medical emergencies, communicable disease prevention, animal nutrition, and pet behavioral challenges. After moving to southern Europe in 2002, I struggled to find reliable care for my own pets and resorted to buying a camper so I could travel with my little cat and three dogs. My own experience inspired me to become a dedicated pet carer. I no longer have pets of my own, but I’ve chosen to fill that place left in my heart by caring for yours. Whether it’s a walk, daily check-in, daylong care, or an overnight stay, I offer personalized, in-home care that respects each animal’s unique needs and personality. I know how hard it is to leave a beloved pet behind, and I’m here to make sure yours feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away.

Whether you're out for the day or on a short trip, I can visit your home as needed to feed your pet, refresh water, offer playtime, and give them lots of love! I try to keep their routine steady and familiar while making sure they get the attention they need. Walks are tailored to your dog’s pace and preference. Whether it’s a calm stroll, beach adventure, or a dog park visit, I’ll ensure they get exercised safely and have plenty of mental stimulation and fun! I'm experienced with giving medications, including injections and oral meds, and can handle special diets. I’m also trained in basic first aid and can transport your pet to the vet if needed—keeping you updated every step of the way. Some pets feel better with company. I offer full-day and overnight stays in your home to maintain their normal routine and help them feel comfortable so you can be worry-free when you’re away from your cherished companion.

Hi, I’m Lola, the Frenchie! My mom had to rush out of town one week and had no one to look after me. Ana was happy to come pick me up and drive me to her cozy home. She took all my toys, my special diet (I’m trying to shed a few pounds and like all-natural homemade food), and put my own bed in her bedroom so we could sleep together. Even though I snore rather loudly, she did not kick me out : ) The week I was there, we went for walks in the many different parks where I could safely run around and meet other doggie friends. I got special treats and lots of playing tug and “chase,” my favorite games. Ana put a special blanket on the couch so I could sit with the family to watch movies (although I slept through most of them). I even had a refreshing bath on a hot day and had my teeth brushed daily, just like a spa! I hope I can stay with Ana again soon because it was like a fun vacation!

Dates de la garde
Although I plan to offer the service in the future, I am currently unable to provide day care or boarding in my home. But I am more than happy to visit your home for walks, feeding, giving medication, play, and snuggles! Day-long care and overnight stays are a possibility as my schedule allows.
