Information Amy z. would like to know about your pet

Let me know how best to make a day successful with your dog. Is your he/she friendly with other dogs? Any special needs? Things I should look out for?

A typical day

It all depends on what is best for your pet, whatever they enjoy or need, I am happy to make their day! For the more active that might be long walks, hikes, cross country skiing, playing fetch, lake time, etc. For the older dogs, long or short walks as many times as they need. Exercise is the best way to keep most dogs happy, so I like to make sure they get the movement they need.

Pet care experience

Hi! I've lived in Ketchum most of my life. I was both a student and a teacher in the Wood River Valley, as well as a member of the alpine ski team. I am now an empty nester, retired, and enjoying the many wonderful outdoor activities here, and enjoy them even more with one or several dogs in tow! I'm a lifelong dog owner, all of which were rescue dogs who have taught me a great deal. I am experienced with many different personality types, behavior issues, and needs of dogs. I am quick to recognize signals dogs give so I may best keep them relaxed and safe around all kinds of characters, both the human and dog type! I have plenty of experience giving shots, pills, etc. Exercise is key for most animals- let me give yours the exercise it needs.

Amy is truly exceptional. Her communication skills are top-notch, she's always punctual, very friendly and being around her naturally puts you at ease. I will be booking more dog walking sessions with her! My pup came back thoroughly exercised and in the best mood—tired yet content and mellow.
