We are very flexible to meet you and your pets' needs so you just message me with your preferences and I will make it happen! If you're dog likes to walk down the street but wants to be carried home, no problem! If your bearded dragon wants to be spoon fed baby food, no problem! If your cat likes their wet cat food lightly fluffed with a fork, no problem! If your parrot likes to be groomed by a human tongue.....uh....that's probably where I draw the line. 😁

Information Amy W. would like to know about your pet
I would love to know everything about your pet: behavior, personality, what stresses them out, what they love, favorite toys, are they scared of certain sounds or things, do they have special needs, medical issues, allergies, etc. You literally cannot give me too much information.
A typical day
In the morning we get everyone up and out to potty and then serve breakfast. After that it’s a good time to have some play time to get the wiggles out before I log into work. Around lunch time is another potty break and if the weather is nice we can do some play time out in the yard playing fetch, tug of war, etc or just enjoy basking in the sun! Then we come back in and it's usually nap time. Once the kids and hubby start coming home, that usually sparks excitement and more play time along with a potty break. Around 7 is when we start dishing out dinner and settling down before one last potty break before heading to bed.

Pet care experience
Hello! I've had a variety of pets over my 43 years of life: dogs, cats, hamsters, horses, chickens, goats, rats, a bearded dragon, fish, hermit crabs, snakes, a chinchilla, eta. and absolutely love all animals. I've had experience in taking care of pets in all stages of life and don't mind if they may need a little extra TLC and medical assistance. I also have 2 kids (18 & 19) that both work at the Kansas Humane Society at home and they are also experts in animal care. I work from home and have the availability to keep a close eye on your pet baby all day while giving them a safe, caring and loving environment. We have a big, privacy fenced-in backyard that is perfect for playing and running. If your pet is a bit standoffish and prefers a slower lifestyle, we have the perfect set up for that as well. (We have a pug that likes to take life low and slow) On day 1 I will give you lots of updates & pictures regarding how they are adapting. Then usually I will send 1 update at the end of each day after that. If you wish to receive more updates or no updates, I'm perfectly fine with either of those as well, you just let me know. We are open to caring for all pets and creatures (small pets & reptiles welcome)! We have 4 kids at home so they are sure to get all the love and affection they deserve, if they are into that. If they don't like too much ado, we know how important it is to respect their boundaries as well. Got other species you need care for? Message me for rates and details!
Reviews

Amy was amazing! I truly felt she cared about my Doggies well being. She made sure she was prepared for him, her communication and flexibility was amazing! She made my anxiety about leaving him go away! Thank you!!!!

So glad that we found Amy on Rover, she has been wonderful with our Beagle that has medical needs. She’s very attentive to detail, and maintains a perfect medication schedule.. she also stepped up with very short notice when we really needed her, will definitely keep using her in the future..

Amy was fabulous! She had great communication with lots of updates & pictures! She took great care of our dogs!!

"We needed a sitter on short notice, and she was incredibly accommodating. She took the time to carefully introduce our dog to hers to ensure they were a good match, which we really appreciated. Our dog has special needs and a strict medication schedule, which she handled flawlessly while providing consistent updates. She was very kind and followed all care instructions to the letter. This was a successful trial run before a longer weekend stay, and we will definitely be booking her again!"
