Safety, trust & environment

I primarily care for pets in the comfort of their own home, as this helps them feel more relaxed and maintain their regular routines. While staying at a client’s home, I make sure to follow all provided instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication (if needed), walk times, and play routines. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention, affection, and stimulation to keep them happy and calm while their owners are away. In addition to caring for pets, I keep the home tidy, bring in mail, water plants, and take out the trash as needed. My goal is to ensure both the pet and the home are well looked after, so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

Information Amy W. would like to know about your pet

Before watching your pet, I like to learn their feeding schedule and portion sizes, as well as their normal potty routine. It’s also helpful to know how they behave on walks, including whether they pull on the leash or react to other animals or people. I always ask about any medical needs, medications, or allergies so I can keep them safe and healthy. I also like to know about your pet’s personality, including any fears, triggers, or behaviors I should be aware of. Knowing their favorite toys, treats, and activities helps me keep them happy and engaged. I ask where they prefer to sleep or relax so they feel comfortable, and I always make sure to have your emergency vet information just in case.

A typical day

I keep pets engaged with walks, fetch, tug-of-war, toy games, simple training, treat puzzles, and plenty of cuddle time. My goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and exercised while you’re away

Pet care experience

What sets me apart from other sitters is my personalized, detail-oriented approach and years of hands-on experience with pets of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’ve cared for everything from playful poodle mixes to large breeds like black labs, and I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and needs. Whether it’s keeping up with a high-energy puppy or providing patient care for an older pet, I adapt to ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their routine. Additionally, I treat every home with the same care and respect I would my own—handling tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and managing trash day. Clients trust me not just because I care for their pets, but because I’m dependable, responsive, and go the extra mile to make sure everything is just right.

Amy did a great job checking in on my cat, feeding him, replenishing water, and giving him some outside time too!

Amy took great care of our cat and our apartment while we were away for 3 nights. She was communicative, followed instructions, sent pictures, and spent a lot of time with the cat while we were away! She was able to get him to eat when he was feeling a bit shy/nervous at first. She also spent time with him outside which is something he loves to do and I appreciate her taking him out. Overall Amy was great, trustworthy, caring, and I will definitely use her again in the future! :)
